Yeah, I'd have to say he's on a hiding to nothing if he doesn't stay 2009....the only option is OS and bitter tastes. The ARU contract means he can't renege on the contract without their agreement. After that....he's got a clause, we are in the same bidding war was everybody else. ACT might want him back, but the way this is being played in the media, petulant rich kid is a bit of mud which could be made to stick, which means the only place he's likely to stay for any length of time is NSWRU.....birds of a feather and all!

It appears all parties have gone to ground…which is good, the media speculation just takes away the focus from the Wallabies tour.

I don't think there will be an outcome until Matt Giteau gets back in Australia... Possibly some articles will begin to surface before the Barbarians match December …I’m sure everyone wishes to resolve the impasse asap and know where they stand for next year. It doesn’t leave a lot of time, trial matches start mid January for most S14 clubs…

Gits either has made up his mind he is going and is waiting for a more professional time to speak publicly after the NH tour. As he would like to be Wallabies captain one day…or he hopes to Force will table an reviewed offer for 2009.

Tah sticks better than mud does. The stench doesn't wash off either. Ever. You have to spend the rest of your life living with the past. If your lucky intensive psychotherapy will fix the problem but otherwise you wake up each night in a cold sweat after enduring another 'Tah flashback.

I wonder how many current tahs/former tahs wake up in a cold sweat after that trip to Christchurch in 2002 (i think)

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...
