I just emailed Tim a bit of a man check
Good Afternoon Rugby Club.
I was just wondering if Tim Horan was going to make a comment about why he leaked the Will Genia signing for Force story via twitter. We all know Tim has been a long time one-eyed supporter of the Reds in all media capacities and has, similarly never missed an opportunity to assassinate the character of everything Emirates Western Force, but now he's been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.
Tim's tweet has put everyone involved in a difficult situation. Will had no choice but to renege on his verbal agreement, the Force lost any opportunity to negotiate in good faith with a player who (it appears) was close to signing and the Reds look completely Machiavellian and mecenary. I can assume that Tim will not rise to the challenge of defending himself, or apologising to the rugby watching public for the debacle he has sparked off, but at least there should be some mention made.
Signed, one mighty upset Force fan!

So what is it the Force exactly needs now ..
a lock, two 9s, a 10, a 12, a 11 and a 15. Marquee and uncapped foreigner.
Lets get the QLD half back Nick Frisby hope he excels at the U20's. ARU invited to camp 2 other half backs Tim Duchese and Tim Donlon. Through in Dewett Roos was keeping Grayson Hart in Second Grade. Plus you Josh Holmes and Turner.
Think outside the box see if Fox wants a Rugby Superstar. They have done it with Soccer and Cricket.
On a tangent, does anyone have an update on whether any/how many WA players got picked up into the National Academy and how much funding (if any) we lost?
probably gonna do nothing but stir the pot here.....
but why is Horan getting heckled so badly when there were news articles stating that Genia was about to sign with the Force in the days prior to Horan making his tweet?
On top of that, Horan only made that tweet after Genia had told McKenzie he was leaving the Reds..
People are quite understandably disappointed. It's a bit of a Yay!-Boo! moment. Kind of like what happened to Reds fans but in reverse. It's always easier to get disappointed at someone in particular like Tim Horan or a referee or a touch judge or John O'Neill or Greg Growden. And it might not necessarily be their fault. Unless they are John or Greg.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
Gigs, that sort of WA paranoia and small penis sh1te makes me embarrassed to be a Force fan.
Horan made Genia ink his Reds contract quicker than Cipriani shoots his load at the site of a naked woman
The perfect Reds conspiracy
WA needs to produce its own players
Time to develop the juniors
Time to develop the next level of WA rugby
Time to build the best rugby academy in Australia
Fix what's broken and stop pasting over the cracks with mercenaries
Dead set
For what it is worth, I am delighted for the Reds that they resigned Genia
His last contract was inked early in the days when the success was a dream and they were trying to build a team when the vulchers were circling
QLD developed him. I think it is wonderful that he has shown the Reds loyalty and accepted less money to stay with a team that he helped build.
I am embarrassed for Genia. It is fair enough to see what the market is offering but it seems he never wanted to leave QLD and his image has been damaged unfairly.
Well done QLD for digging yourselves out of the sh1t, developing a sensational team of young ball tearers who are predominantly home grown and kicking @ss.....and well done on the style with which you have built success.
I only hope the Force have a look at QLD and follow suit
Brisbane Line!!SECEDE!!!!!!!
Dont think anyone would disagree with developing homegrown players, but it doesnt fix our immediate problem of having a decent pack and not having a backline to complement it. can we afford to wait to develop our own backs in the meantime?
