So I'm no Tahs supporter....but lately Phil Waugh has made some pretty gutsy statements about the Tahs and Rugby in general. From what I gather most players try not to comment on issues that are in the media spotlight but he has and I have agreed with what he has said a couple of times.
because that made sense...

I just watched the replay of the Tahs and Blues. IMHO, i felt the Tahs have improved over the season. Gonna have to watch for Wycliff Palu, cos he's been making some good yards the past few games, as well as Phil Waugh, he had a blinder against the blues. Its gonna be a really really good match to watch this weekend. Other than that, Kurtley Beale, though he's a pretty good player, is no match for Matt Giteau. And Tom Carter is no match for Spanners. I know Pocock will be able to handle Phil Waugh quite well having dealth with McCaw already. Its gonna be a great match on Sat, cant wait for it!
BTW, i didnt see anyone post this. Sitaleki Timani will not stay at the Force after this season. He is moving over to the Brumbies next year. Even after we tried so hard to get him a citizenship in Aus to be able to play in the Super 14. Talk about ungrateful.
I read about that in todays West Australian, figured someone would post an internet article about it![]()
Wonder what that implies for Adam Wallace-Harrison...?
I think the battle up-front will be interesting, as i have posted in another thread...
Tahs vs Force - Preview - Western Force Rugby Supporters Site
Targeting gits will play into the hands of the Force by opening up the outside, i reckon this is just psychological crap from the Tahs to influence mitch, but it won't work as gits will stand up as always and as long as he is giving good ball outside him we have an advantage...
Proudly bought to you by a brewery somewhere....
Similar to Lomu out of his prime he was used as a defender drawer. I.e suck in two or three defenders pop up quick ball, overlap...
In modern Rugby you simply cannot afford to target one bloke, it just free's up other blokes.
Coach Mitchell and Gits I am sure would be happy if he was targeted. That would effectively unleash our very potent backline.
But, in saying that if you do not target Gits (with numbers) (he is very slippery) he will punish you.
Catch 22 for the Tahs the way I see it.
Hasta la vista Pam
