6PR just said there was a rally at Force HQ this Sunday at 9.30am? Is this different to the one on Facebook talking about the 26th August marching from City Beach to Force HQ.
Anyone else know about the one this Sunday?
Yes, I have been told Rally has been moved to happen before appeal, before community finals and to HQ because road closures could not be organised in time for Sunday at City Beach.
Is there a City to Surf this weekend?
No --city t surf is 27th
In for the rally x2
I'm confused.
Is there one or two protest rallies?
It doesn't make sense to have two. We'll get half the numbers to each.
Can someone please clarify.
thanks
Once again RugbyWA show their incompetence!
Why have it on Grand Final Day for club rugby! Part of the reason the Force failed was the lack of connection with Grassroots - why not shift it to where the games are being played, support grassroots rugby in WA and send a real message to the ARU!
The colts grand final kicks off at 10.30am so how could anyone attend the rally and watch the colts gf?
Ridiculous scheduling by I'm sure well meaning people. Even rugby wa president Hansie can't be in two places at once. Hansie wouldn't dare miss the colts or womens finals or there'll be a riot.
Now here's an idea - why not hold the rally at Britannia this Saturday morning where hundreds of junior rugby players and their parents will be and enthusiastic to participate. Expecting those same people to drive into city beach on Sunday morning from mandurah, armadale, joondalup etc is unrealistic.
We are all supportive but need to be smart about this.

Anyone know where we can park around HQ once the local car parks full?
May the FORCE be with you!
Colts Kick off at 10:30 so clearly there will be - terrible planning obviously a prerequisite to be a rugby administrator in Australia is to not have any brain cells. You are also taking the attention away from the most important weekend in WA Rugby by holding an event at another venue; literally the reason the Force failed was the lack of connection to grassroots (last 18 months there was a massive improvement with their engagement with the Perth rugby community) so why not try and connect with Grassroots which is the heartbeat of the sport in our State rather then compete with it.
Can people not see that time is of the essence for this protest rally? Nobody wants to have a clash with finals but there is always going to be an overlap with something. The most finals will take away from the rally is 200 to 300 people at that time of day, lets not pretend there will be a 1000 people queuing up to get into tomkins park at 9.30 on Sunday.
Secondly this rally is not being organised by RugbyWA, it is being organised by a rugby fan who is actually doing something rather than complaining online
