Stick it to them TIF!
Guess things must be a bit quiet at the old Rugby WA legal headquarters...
Hey wait... aren't they supposed to be defending the legality at which we lured players over to perth?
They sure do have more important things to do with their time! (For the record I don't support the idea there was any shifty dealings... no proof... no deal)
I made Happy sad...
Who's your legal team, TiF? I think that Happy & I might have a case for the photo in Aussie Stadium (taken after the 'Tahs match) that was used the following week in the match programme.

I was in that one too!!! omg!!! how awkward for them!!! lol!
I dont care what they say Im going to go ahead with the auction this time ... I've done everything by the book as far as I am concerned, and if they wish to persue it, I am positive the media would be very interested in a multimillion dollar corporation trying to crush a young budding artist ...

True - it was "their" picture as Tom took it. However, I don't recall him asking permission....but then the memory is a little hazy after enjoying Sydney's hospitality beforehand!!!

BTW - I've made the classifieds forum only viewable to registered members (which it probably should have been anyway) and the front page block which advertises "TWF Auctions" and the Auction itself have both always only been viewable to registered members...
This isn't done to hide anything, as we all know registration is pretty quick and simple and if people want to see all content, they should register (although I've turned on email verification - new members must now click a link in an email to complete the registration process)
Dear Lord, if you give us back Johnny Cash, we'll give you Justin Bieber.
Well I stole Terri's reply, (damn her for being so much better at english then me!!! but dont worry ... I got her permission!!!) i added on the last little bit about the ebay items, I will inform you of a response... if and when I get one!
Dear Ms Norton,
Yes these photos were taken by myself, yes these paintings were done by myself and yes I did get the blessing of Matt Giteau when he signed the paintings AFTER I had told him what I planned to do with them. I have several witnesses to say that I did so.
I do not believe this to be a "serious offence" as you say - mostly because the majority of the funds raised will a) cover my costs (hardly a profit!) and b) contribute to the running of The Whole Force - an important website for many fans of the Force.
I do this for the benefit of fans of the team who wish to enjoy my artwork, not for any "financial gain". It is only a social auction.
If you could please provide me with the exact excerpt that states I am not allowed to sell an item that I have received verbal permission from the player to do so, that I myself have painted from photos that I myself have taken then I will gladly request that the auction be taken down.
Until then, I will continue to "sell" my items for merely cost covering and Force promotional gain as I am now, because although I realise now the wrong in my last auction, I do not see anything wrong with what I am doing now.
Also can you please inform me on which action is being taken in regards to these ebay auctions;

Im also going to try emailing a bunch of memorbilia shops see how they go about their autographs etc...
You know I'd be more then happy to provide RugbyWA with prints of all my art work so they can reproduce them and sell them at a profit to themselves for a small fee of course ... I mean if they think I'm gonna make a killing out of selling four signed pictures then surely it would be a worth while expedition! and hey a little exposure for myself! however if they want to take it the other way ...

Hehe I wrote that letter after having consumed a bottle of red and after reading "Ms Norton's" letter went into a crazy angry writing fit!
Didn't expect it to be used *chuckle*
I want to be unique - just like everybody else!
Jedi does his best work after a bottle of red too!
Great job Terri!
Before you go putting down payments on Peppi Grove mansions TIF, I think their point of contention in this instance was the signature from Gits as a claim of endorsement or the like, not the use of his image wasn't it?
