Haig has got lucky alright! Hopefully he will have taken a close look at his performance last week and we'll see more go forward and less inside hospital passes rather than taking contact. What I'd really like to see is him hitting the ball at speed too, and some aggressive kick-chasing wouldn't go astray either.
Mind you, those points would apply to pretty much all of the back line. FFS get the passes out in front and hit the ball moving - tackled stationary and it is you that gets hurt, tackling moving and it is him that has to get it exactly right. And put some pressure on when the kick goes up, and make that less bloody often than at the moment - look at the possession and territory last week, and how often the ball was just kicked back to them without challenge. Given the size of the Cheetahs:
a) You can't run them around without the ball in hand, and
b) Would you rather spend the day tackling those great lumps, or having them make tackles?
A lot of people over rate AJ
In fantasy rugby a prop gets about 20,000 points for standing in the backs and having a prance.
In the real game, the team with their props in the backline get belted. Perhaps you noticed the Force getting raped at the collision zone? (The fight? The breakdown?)
AJ is a slow back
How about some running rugby from the attack coach?
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
I thought the Brumbies backline moves were outstanding. On one move they had three variations
So anyway back to the Cheetahs
I am not one to talk up expectations before a match, BUT
fair dinkum we should win this by a mile.
A bonus point for 4 Try win. It should be a spanking

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
