Wanneroo has been trying to do the right thing and has been in negotiations with RugbyWA (at community rugby and CEO level) since Aug 2013 to get Ellenbrook up and running. We have been waiting for approval/support from the WA rugby Union since then, however in the meantime Bayswater went ahead, pretty much in the same manner as what Nedlands have done in Hillarys and set up a training venue in Ellenbrook. Wanneroo in the meantime have put their proposal of a training venue into place and we will start training in Ellenbrook from the first Monday in March. We will be using the Turkich parade oval as our training venue This will on the one hand be an Rugby promotional style training venue where we introduce the game to new young players and also an Academy style training where we have current rugby players attend an extra session per week for development purposes. I cannot expand more due to some negotiations being in process with the Swan Shire and Schools in Ellenbrook that has not being finalised, but I can say that you need to watch this space as it will be bigger than what most expected. We currently have 73 out of our 381 registered members from Ellenbrook for 2014 and this will grow once we start training in Ellenbrook in March.
