I KNOW WHO THE NEW SIGNINGS ARE!!!!:p
Tell us who ????????
Ok I admit it I signed up to be the waterboy the secret is out!
You can scratch my back with a hacksaw!
I'd heard that he can't come back, but I don't know the reasons; can you shed light on why?
He was a schoolboy and U-20 international for Australia and, from what I've read, lived in Queensland for 8 years and Perth for 2 more. Did he not get permanent residency, or does going back to New Zealand for a year then mean his residency status is revoked?
I thought Sheehan was going abroad; although I probably got that from here.
I guess he could be.
All I know is that he told me a few weeks back that he is definitely not hanging up his boots (I had thought he was retiring this year) but was "considering his options" for next season (and presumably beyond).
I'd be glad if he stayed with the Force.
IRB rules regarding qualification for an International side state that a player must be born in the country they seek to represent, have a grandparent from the country they seek to represent or be residents in the country they seek to represent. The residency requirement is three consecutive years immediately before the point of playing for that national team. Swanny does not meet the criteria for the first two requirements and when he left Australia to go to NZ to play for the Crusaders, he lost the 3+ years he had built up for residency. If we want him back, we would need to use a foreign development marquee spot. This is a possibility though.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
