Why the hell do all the papers have such a hard-on for this Cheiks bloke? I don't know him from a bar of soap, but his name has been associated with just about every high profile coaching job in the last two years.

Now I'm not saying the guy's a mug, but he missed out on the Tah's coaching job.....and he has to import forwards into the most forward oriented country on the planet......you do the math!

I reckon he's got shares in all the major newspapers and is putting pressure on the editors.

Can anybody name the 20 players who are off contract at the end of the year....We picked up two or three new signatures this year, resigned a bunch to long term contracts recently and there are only 33 players in the squad.

So who are the 13 who are contracted beyond the S14 final?

I suspect he's graduated from poorly researched bullshit to completely ridiculous and fabricated bullshit

cheika is a pretty succesful coach, he didnt get the tahs job cos he was already signed to leister and they wernt about to let him go!

the fact that he has built a forward pack, imported or not i thought would have been a good sign for the force.

the players off contract thing doesnt really matter, the tahs have a heap as well, then te force and reds arnt far behind, its going to be a fun signing period in the second half of the year!!

I'm with you GIGS, if Bret Harris seems to think we need another 'high profile' coach why doesn't he suggest someone who is actually 'high profile' rather than just his old buddy boy from New South Gayles. I have a list somewhere of who is on contract past this season and 20 is pretty much only the number if other teams want our apprentices or players choose to exercise their 1 year option clauses.

Many players off contract like Pat O'Connor and Junior Pelesasa, both of whom I am a big fan of, are unlikely to be chased based on their injury history. Up to date we've only really lost one player that we wanted to retain (Digby Ioane) and that's a pretty good record. I don't see some kind of mass exodus happening and even if it did like WJ says there is enough player movement on the cards that the damage will be minor if any.

I'd tip Michael Foley as the Force new coach and I reckon he'd do a good job.

Been Wallabies asst recently and is keen on Perth. I reckon he'd be good.
