I've cornered the last (known) bug and am right now fixing the photo galleries issue (should be about 10 minutes) and I've "turned off" thewholeforce.com.au. Everything should be fully operational.

Is it weird that the new site's faster for me, too?

Not really - there are a few factors, but the 2 main ones are distance/speed between your computer and the computer which TWF lives on and also speed of the computer TWF lives on.

TWF useed to share a computer and its resources with a bunch of other websites - now we have our own deciated (slice of) one and dedicated resources (running on a "VPS").

This is probably the speed increase you are experiencing.

It is also physically closer which reduces latency times for many/most of us (for me it went from 80ms (millseconds) to 18ms) and tests have shown there is more bandwidth available with higher speeds between me and the server than previously.

It'll be interesting to see how it holds up when we get busy... *crosses fingers
