Apparently there's a press conference on at the moment with a possible player announcement. According to ewf twitter.

I agree with Gaffa in that Pocock was going to the Brumbies regardless, and also believe RugbyWA did all they could to retain Pocock. His mind was made up to leave a long time ago.
I would say RugbyWA would have been working towards signing Foley(sharpy and others choice) and Mulvihill(Pococks choice) last week. Pocock would have known this and I think thats what has prompted his early announcement to go to the Brumbies. He had always previously stated that he would make his decision at the end of the rugby season and his contract finishes at the end of the year so he was apparantly in no rush to make a decision.
How would it look if the EWF presented Pocock his coaching preferences(He allegedly approved Foley and Mulvihill) and then say no thanks im going to the Brumbies. With the early announcement to leave, RugbyWA's hands were tied to make an announcement on Foley and Mulvihill and would therefore give everyone the impression that Pocock is justified to leave and as a consequence make RugbyWA look very incompetent.
If this is how it played out then I must say Im pretty dissapointed in Pocock.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Anyone near Foxtel Sports News to tell us what was said in the press conference..
the tweet actually says "30 mins to the press conference with Michael Foley. Is there a current player announcement coming too?? #whatcoulditbe"
so could be the new captain

Might be just the official announcement of Mulvihill as I dont think they have made an official announcement yet
Well, haven't the last few weeks been a real rollercoaster...
I am really glad to see that the Force seem to be getting their shit together, picking themsleves up and dusting themsleves off after the media bombardment they have suffered lately.
During this turbulent moment I have been getting my updates from all over the place, including this great site, waiting in hope of some good news. While i was a little sceptical of the Foley announcement at first, after a little more thought and the recent support coach announcement I think it could be a good fit and the start of something special moving forward for the next chapter in the Force history.
I have lurked around here without registering for the better part of 3 years, and decided that at times like this it calls for commitment to the cause! So here i am, signing on for what i hope will be a fresh start and new beginning for my beloved team!
