Thanks
It's every man for themselves now and it appears that Cox has lawyered up if he isn't willing to discuss the terms of ref.
A missed opportunity and they should just refer this to ASIC as they will have more time and probably need to deal with NZ to investigate his finances there.

It's on Wikipidia so it must be right:
technical insolvency is a synonym for balance sheet insolvency, which means that its liabilities are greater than its assets, and actual insolvency is a synonym for the first definition of insolvency ("Insolvency is the inability of a debtor to pay their debt.")
So, Mr Cox, according to information on NZ Companies Register, your Company, Imperium Group Holdings Limited, 3236877, with you listed as the Director and Shareholder via your private company, Praetorian Private Equity Pty Ltd As Trustee For Praetorian Private Equity Discretionary Trust L13 600 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Victoria, 3004 , Australia - had Total Assets of $2, 337,185 and Total Liabilities of $2,784,136 making a negative Equity of $446,951 as at June 2014. Mr Cox, please explain how you are not in contempt of the Australian Senate.
The truth may set you free, but only evidence convicts
Yep, found it, nice little diversion from the truth Mr Cox.
I see you're quite happy to mislead the senate, does that carry a jail term?
C'mon the
Exactly, Cox is right about one thing only which was the name of the company mentioned in the hearing.
Providing incorrect information can put you in contempt.I see you're quite happy to mislead the senate, does that carry a jail term?

Yes it does but no ones ever gone to jail for contempt of the Senate - yet
The truth may set you free, but only evidence convicts
Technical insolvency is the same as cash flow insolvency.technical insolvency is a synonym for balance sheet insolvency, which means that its liabilities are greater than its assets, and actual insolvency is a synonym for the first definition of insolvency ("Insolvency is the inability of a debtor to pay their debt.")

Cash flow insolvent is where you could pay your debtors if you sold your house (or hotel or non current asset). Technical insolvency is where if you sold everything you'd still fall short. His lot appear to be the latter. At 2015 rate they'd have dug themselves out of the hole in about 8 years. I nice cash windfall for the group certainly would have helped.
It's pretty damning that he hasn't addressed the rest of the accusations levelled at him. But it's pretty stupid lying in an email. Maybe hoping name confusion will undermine everything.
It seems pretty clear to me that contempt of Parliament must surely end up being one of the findings of the inquiry. In which case, it’ll be back into the witness box for those accused!! And this time it’ll be really serious!!
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
That's why I mentioned that he it appears that he has got a lawyer. He wouldn't have been able to avoid the terms if he was called up as a witness. It's pretty damning that he hasn't addressed the rest of the accusations levelled at him.

Another thing to look at is surely trying to stall the take up of Own the Force share purchases is a restraint of trade.
