well in my day, everyone pulled there weight at line out time, i had a lineout in colts were we had the whole back row capable of jumping, five options was a glorious time for a young hooker!
It wasn't about pulling your weight, it was about doing the job that was legal, or bordeline legal, to do. As in supporting the player in the air but not lifting or binding until the reached the top of the leap.
Anything less than five was ordinary when I was playing and if you couldn't grab the cross bar by Year 11 you weren't going to be a Lock.
Was in an unders state side that the Tighthead was thinner and taller than one of the Locks, that lineout had six options and used them all well.
And we weren't even from NSW!!!
"Bloody oath we did!"
Nathan Sharpe, Legend.
So back to Brownie...
Its a shame, he played really well and his try was fantastic. Only thing is he could have scored it on the other side of the posts![]()
The Force come against the Chiefs this week. We could probably use a big'un like Horua to contain Sione Lauaki. Richard Brown can have a rest and get himself prepped to take on the Sharks in three weeks.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
