Is JM on the match committee?
    JM is in the stands
he isn't involved in selection, training or match strategies
He has to watch in painful silence as the senior players fumble their poorly conceived gameplan and kick all their possession away
He is then sedated and taken to the change room for the half time @rse kiss which replaces the You are getting belted at the breakdown, harden up and man up. Gits run the ball instead of kicking it to their dangerous counter attacking strike weapons. Stop playing like weaners speach.

I wonder if that brain fart attempt to run the free kick 90m was a committee decision?

Gonna look just great if the Chiefs beat us into the semis by a point.

To me it looked like we underestimated the Cheifs who despite no wins this year were starting to hit form against the Sharks last week, who today easily beat the Blues. A couple of guys who starred last week looked to suffer a bit of second up syndrome after long injury lay-offs. But mostly we lacked any urgency for the contest and made some pretty elementary errors at crucial times. Scrum was better, our lineout woes continue to baffle me considering who we got jumping and our kicking for field position was undone by some very poor kick chases.

At least we didn't leak 64 pts like last time we were in Hamilton and we have a great chance to post a rebound victory against a floundering Crusaders next week to bury the 50 pt loss of our last visit to Jade Stadium.

We beat the Sharks last time we played them in Perth. It's a shame we'll be coming back from tour because it'll be their 4th game away from SA and if we were going to be fresher it might just be the difference.

The Sharks away record is atricious. I'm amazed they thrashed the Blues, I need to watch this. I don't fancy their chances against the force if we are on a good night. If we play ANYTHING like we did yesterday.

Pink is magical - it will save the force! We should all wear force-pink more often

A kick in this game is like a rather nasty alcoholic shooter, only as good as it's chaser...

Nick Taylor sums it all up in one sentence, or maybe two, I reckon.

Ordinary is mild but I hate rubbishing my team.

You can't fall of that many tackles and win.

Too many players caught out of position with the backs getting to the breakdowns first and losing the ball in the contact.

Our forward pack needs to run as a pack before spreading it out to the backs who need to be in some sort of formation first.

Why has this kick the ball away infected our game now? It's usually dry weather the Super games are played under, get the ball out to the piano players and play a passing game. Then bloody hang onto it and go to ground and let the piano shifters do what they're paid for.

    Its not rocket science.

    Agreed...it's easy

Thou shalt run the bloody ball
Thou shalt hang onto your tackles
Thou shalt get to the breakdown
    Thou shalt score tries

I'm disappointed in our pack. It seems they didn't turn up to the park that night.
too many lost lineouts, to many lost rucks and mauls and barely held their own in the scrum.

Because we were getting hammered at the breakdown. They worked better as a pack and when they did hit the breakdown they were very accurate. They got a bit of a rub of the green from Goddard, but nothing to make a song and dance about. But if you can't retain the ball you sure as hell shouldn't bring it into contact.

Too clarify I meant Union in general with the whole kicking thing. I fail to see how the forwards and backs could sit in the same change rooms nowadays with how the backs endlessly kick away possession that the forwards work hard in getting. (Do I sound like a forward?)

Endless kicking from one end to the other gets very boring very quickly. Pick and drive, smash into the rucks, turnovers at breakdowns, big hits, bone crunching tackles, good quality scrums that don't get reset over and over, quality lineouts and squirrel grips that's what I want out of rugby.

Large scale ping-pong is boring. Much rather watch pick and drives and running the ball.
