although, just to give my 2cents, he mentioned family alot, and if your family are based on the east coast, I guess that could consider a double in travel time, if you use 1-2 days to get back to your family every couple of weeks, that'll take its toll, Im not suggesting this is the case, but I can imagine that with their frequent flyer miles (or maybe even a sponsoship deal) they would be tempted to pop 'home' for short stints?

In fairness to the bloke, he probably had the Wallabies in mind. It wouldn't so much be the travel during the Super season, it would be being stuck on the East coast for camp, training and playing for the duration of the international season.

Thinking back, anything big changed in his life over the last couple of years that might have him less keen to spend months at a time over on the east coast and away from Perth....someone he might be missing perhaps, that he might see more often if they were also based on the east coast?

My thoughts exactly Shasta! I'd put money on Mrs P wanting to get to know how federal politics works so that she (or David) can one day maybe serve as a Greens MP in Federal Parliament.

Reckon the travel and family stuff is a secondary factor in their decision to move to Berra.
