    brilliant calculations there GAFFA.
although, just to give my 2cents, he mentioned family alot, and if your family are based on the east coast, I guess that could consider a double in travel time, if you use 1-2 days to get back to your family every couple of weeks, that'll take its toll, Im not suggesting this is the case, but I can imagine that with their frequent flyer miles (or maybe even a sponsoship deal) they would be tempted to pop 'home' for short stints?

In fairness to the bloke, he probably had the Wallabies in mind. It wouldn't so much be the travel during the Super season, it would be being stuck on the East coast for camp, training and playing for the duration of the international season.

But dont forget - David Pocock has been doing all of this travel with the Western Force for 7 years.

So its only just become a problem for him?

I am guessing he has had 3 contract renewals. He could have moved to the East Coast any time then.

I believe the distance like all of his other excuses are complete fabricated bullshit.

All he had to say was - Im Tired.
    I need a change,
I want to work with Coach White.
The Brumbies offered me a shit tin of money.
By being in the Nations Capital my Charity work will have a greater public forum to work with.
Say that and I would have respect for him.

    Just don't lie to me.

Well, maybe not just for him. Thinking back, anything big changed in his life over the last couple of years that might have him less keen to spend months at a time over on the east coast and away from Perth....someone he might be missing perhaps, that he might see more often if they were also based on the east coast?

he could have said many things like I am sick of winning the ball so the backs can kick it away, or drop it. He took the higher ground he doesnt answer to anyone except the coach. He has made a decision and people need to move on. We should think ourselves lucky he plays for the wallabies and not someone else. He seems to be an intelligent man and looking to the future.

Reckon? I'd hazard a guess that the Pococks have moved east to be more involved in the political process. Perhaps even for one of them to take a paid position. Time will tell.

My thoughts exactly Shasta! I'd put money on Mrs P wanting to get to know how federal politics works so that she (or David) can one day maybe serve as a Greens MP in Federal Parliament.

Reckon the travel and family stuff is a secondary factor in their decision to move to Berra.

Good luck to them. But hell will freeze over before I ever vote Green, whoever the candidate is!!

^^ If hell freezes over doesn’t that prove what the greens have been saying is right?
