He is the "Ewen McKensie" of the Force, and still looking now for the "Richard Graham" (Coach) to be the Coach of the Force.

So the Puzzle is still in pieces for the time being...

    Absobloodylutely!
    And Nick Farr Jones.
Be interesting to hear what Kearns has to say on the Rugby Club. Maybe Canno will serve him up. Hope so.

To be honest I don't care if he's Director or Coach as long as he is someone to lead, push pull and kick the Force into the shape we know it can be and should be.
Good Luck and we will wait with baited breath.

Message to Vern. "I hope you have hired the man to do the job he wants to do and you don't start putting up restraints or bloody committees"

Did he commit to the tahs and then sell out to us? It's my only concern at this point. If he has shown enough honor to follow his word, then I'll give him the benefit of the doubt like I have with dunning and Ma'afu. If however he's pulled a Genia on the tahs, i don't want any part of him!

haha that WOULD be a laugh, except by all accounts Cheika is a real hardnosed control freak so would have ZERO tolerance for any form of control

Welcome to Michael Foley and good luck. I think we have to give him a chance. If we can get a quality attack coach, we ve got a reasonable set up. However we need to recruit some pace/skill in the backs as soon as.. I'd like to see the local club scene represented in the squad at least. Surely there are some WA players who can get into the programme at the force.

From overwhelming negativity, I think we are slowly moving in the right direction. Those who chose to leave, well, we're going to move on. Lets face it we hardly went great guns this year..
Whatever, I will be supporting next year and onwards as always.

Where is the "I have faith "picture?

Maybe the reason Cheika didn't accept the coach's job was because he found out he'd be workign under Foley and wouldn't have total control. That sounds more plausible to me.

So Foley as Director of Rugby, with Nick Stiles as forwards coach, someone like Meehan or Louden as backs coach, and a specialist defense coach. Then Foley can head up the media and give the match-day team talks while letting the other coaches get on with their specialist areas.

Chieka might have heard that Foley was in trouble, and was just biding his time for his preferred gig. Foley will have a lot to prove. His words about the style of rugby he wants the team to play augur well.

    Genia never signed a contract.

You really need to get over this stuff. The chip on the shoulder mentality is probably what is preventing players and coaches from touching the place.

Sorry to be blunt and maybe a bit offensive, but sometimes you need to hear how people outside Perth are viewing the current situation.

I think Foley could be a really good pick up. Support him and you will have a very competitive team in a reasonable time frame. Undermine him and you will become the Waratahs.

    It's not rocket science.

I wonder if Foley will bring Sarel with him? There was talk of him finishing up with the Tahs this year..
