I can't speak for Vern et al, however I do know that the ball is in Bams court. He knows exactly what is on offer from RugbyWA contract wise and I'm sure this specualtion will continue until he makes his decision. He does have a lot on his plate atm. Don't expect anything until a coach is announced. And no, I do not know when that will be.
