    Thanks Ecky.

Having watched all of the S14 matches this weekend I would give the refs a big pat on the back. Doesn't matter what their country of origin may be, the best refs will deliver the best outcomes.

Bryce Lawrence had a good match on Friday night. Let's not pick on the ref to excuse a rubbish performance by the Force.

OK, saw some of the 2nd half on Fox this morning and I had completely forgotten about the 2 penalties for foul language! One doesn't see that very often in any grade! Must have been bad. I once threatened to penalise in a 1st XV match, and also in a Colts/U19 match, but that is due to the sudden onset of testosterone in a teenaged male...

Anyway, Bryce was fine - the bit that I watched clearly showed the self-destruction by one team and the continual self-belief and domination by the other team. Result was not at all influenced by the ref.

You can't feed the ball into a moving scrum. On our feed the AB front row were disruptive. On their feed, their scrumhalf had a stable scrum in which to feed. I don't blame CO'Y

I guess one way to play that is to throw a couple of scrums away (since you'll lose them to free kicks anyway) by throwing the ball from wherever you are, pretty soon it'll be blatantly obvious that the scrum is unstable and the ref might actually start working on what the issue really is.

Fact is that the Blues scrum was playing games most of the night and trying to milk penalties....who knows what this fight took out of our forwards, it could have been this that caused our breakdown work to suck so bad!
