Not impressed by what has just happened on this thread.
I noted that the site was a little dull and lifeless lately, and admit my contributions have slowed down as well, probably due to trying to get to grips with the travesty that was the local grand final.
All I see here is Muddy trying to revive things in his mildly provocative way, and he gets banned for his effort. Nothing he has said is cause to get excited or upset about.
Perspective is required, I think.
And there is no need for a mass resignation of moderators. Your efforts are appreciated. I just happen to think on this occasion there has been a misinterpretation and over reaction to well meaning intentions.

MudSkipper got a temporary ban for again mildy provoking more than one moderator with a number posts designed to do ... actually, I'm not real sure of his aim - but if it was to get a reaction, he got one. He is a repeat offender.
It's the off season - he should chill, he now has the opportunity to do so, and based on his accusations will miss little from being away from TWF for 7 days.

Muddy wasn't being nice there either, in the end, although the original thread content was unobjectionable.
I've known the publican atto ban regulars for similar periods for instances of inappropriate behaviour.
As my grandpappy used to say, "if we all liked the same things, everybody would want to marry your grandmother." That's why we usually let muddie hang around us....

Correct - personally ignore most of what Muddie writes - it just ticks me off - so ignore it and the posts that answer it and scroll down hoping to see something legimate, but am confused as to why people answer his stuff at all - if we just ignore him won't he go away or wise up - he's not the first or the last Troll we will see.
He obviously loves his rugby or us or is incredibly bored in work / institution / whatever ..
