Rob Clarke is supposed to be some marketing guru but everything he has touched has turned to dust.
According to Eddie Jones it was his decision while he was Brumbies CEO to change the Brumbies name from ACT Brumbies to Brumbies Rugby for marketing purposes as a global brand. This upset a lot of people in Canberra.
While I understand what you're saying, especially with regards to most of the rugby world, I'll have to respectfully disagree with that regarding Australia. In Australia, rugby is ostensibly a game played in metro Sydney and Brisbane, our clubs are suburban outfits. Provincialism was the money-making potential of rugby in this country, unless we were to successfully launch a national club league with teams that became sensations in a short term period.
I agree, but at the same time, with Perth gone and maybe Melbourne next, where's the "growth of the game" coming from in Australian rugby? It's certainly not coming from the shrinking heartlands.

Don't give the ARU time to scuttle it in the planning stage, keep it under wraps until everything is more or less done then blow everyone out of the water.
I have Emailed 3 world rugby reps and not had a word back in 3 weeks.. i think they are just as bad as the bunch in Sydney

Starting to think that the WA Government and Twiggy are keeping quiet while the Senate Inquiry is going on. On the WA Government from going what Sen. Reynolds said last month they will be playing their card this Wednesday. In regards to Twiggy well we don't know if he will be called up.
I don't know there's a whole lot Twiggy could add to the discussion other than answering the question of when did he pledge financial support. That's pretty much already in the public domain anyway.
I think the problem Twiggy faced is not being covered by any confidentiality agreement and therefore the "transparent" ARU sought to keep him in the dark about anything and everything.
C'mon the
