"That can be put to bed, I wasn't even here,'' Giteau said on Monday….
He needed to finish that one with “Your Honor” closely followed by “my mum gave it to me”….
Don't bother with the Fox Sport News overnight version....They edited so that they could suggest he was listing the things he was looking for the Brumbies and Reds to provide so he could sign with them......The thing that's pissing me off about the media is that so many of the quotes are bullshit or creatively edited, you really can't tell what anybody feels anymore....I guess we'll continue to hear the speculation right up until there's an announcement of him exercising his exit clause.......or refusing to exercise it!
C'mon the
A link to the sound bite of the whole interview.

thanks for that summary Laura !
^^
haha, i love speculation
In actual fact, several of QLD's richest rugby supporters were seen having lunch together, no one knows what they were talking about though, they could have been talking about something completely non-related to the Reds
Ben Cousins?
Im suprised the Waratahs havent been thrown in the ring yet..
then again, he doesnt have NRL or QLD pedigree in him so they wouldnt be interested

Looks like he did give some thought to trying to play in France. Maybe his manager argued his case at the ARU using the Firepower outcome as a lever. Most would. Maybe he's keeping his options open to see what can come of a "sabbatical" after his S14 contract is fulfilled.
Maybe he's still got the two year option extension sponsorship here up his sleeve even though it was not accepted by the deadline. Maybe, maybe, maybe.
It all seems a quite reasonable outcome to a player having such a lucrative deal fall through for him. I know he'll play his arse off as long as he's here and I hope everything works out for him.

really TOCC nice effort!!!
truth is, to an established team, is Gits worth it?, i would break the bank for Barnes a long time before Giteau, he hasnt proved he is a fly half to me at all! and truth is, playing outside beale i would prefer the crash runner we had in carter at inside centre than another ball player!
but back to topic, i have to give Gits, his manager and all associated with his PR firm alot of praise for the way Gits has come out of this untarred! the schoolboy smile is back and he knows him and his manager have at least stirred the pot if not caused the mithcell saga completely! good luck to em!
and im very very excited that a sporting organisation in this country (ARU) didnt cave and let him out of his contract! good outcome!
