You are comparing his speed to two of the top four fast wingers in World Rugby, plus having to turn to chase first, of course he's going to come up short!
The fact that he came close enough to even attempt an ankle tap on the first try was outstanding.

Saw that too mud, I think it was just after Kankowski had tried to rip his head off his shoulders by the neck of his jersey, but it was nice to see, agreed.

Spanner is far more effective at 12 than on the wing... why not yank Pelesasa off, put Spannah inside centre, Cross at 13, Mitchell & Cummings on the wings and JOC at Fullback.

When Sheps is back then JOC can come back to inside centre and Cross & Spannah can share 13 (to be honest Cross has been far from his rampaging best this year..)
Pelesasa is a lose cannon and his passes are not slick enough to be playing at 12...Staniforth was getting more & more frustrated last night.. not surprised he hung on to the ball on the one long run.... (my precioussss )

Staniforth got some poor passes thrown his way last night... I thought he was playing wing to build match fitness... I'd expect to see him in the centers before to long... I enjoyed his try... Gits needs more talent running off him and around him so he can put players though the gaps...

Sharks marked Gits extremely well last night and successfully shut down the force attack. South Africans are the masters of slowing the ball down in the rucks

It didn't matter a lot last night. He did really well, even though the Sharks were throwing him about .

Really? Id put Drew Mitchell, Cameron Shepherd, Adam Ashley-Cooper, Mark Gerrard, Digby Ioane, Peter Hynes, Lote Tuqiri and Lachie Turner wayyyyyy ahead of Nick for this years Wallabies team... His good, but definitly not that good yet.

But he's got that nice curly hair.......you've got to remember the hair!

From that point of view, he's number 2 behind Drew with Shep a close third!

i would have to say digby is the 1st choice winger for me... he has so much strength and potential now that he can catch a ball

Yep... Digby has great form this season... he is a new player... Lachie Turner has payed well also...

I can't see Cummins on the Wallabies Tour bus yet... but he still has 7 matches to impress Aussie Robbie Deans..

Digby has to be the first winger picked for the wallabies if form has anything to do with selection. Simply sensational.
Cummins has been very disappointing for mine. That must be a match day wig he wears. No real man would grow that would they?

I've actually quite enjoyed watching Cummins. You lot are making me 2nd guess myself - I thought it was his game, maybe it's the hair?

Aussie Rob wants JOC at fullback and im happy with that. He is a kid with a large set of cojones and fearless. He will learn the game from 15. Mitchell displayed his flair on the wing and thats his spot for christ sake.
Cummins isnt Wallaby material at this stage...not even close but has plenty of potetial.
