lol do you have your HR lisence aye?
and i think, well know you are motivated properly.
we will HAVE to cover the logos though. otherwise it would just be embarrassing. unless they wanted to sponsor the effort. lol
I think a rally is a wonderful idea ex! I think that the passion and support shown during the super 14 team bid was what sealed the deal and it couldn't hurt to give this approach another shot.
I'm thinking that the seating should be at least 40,000 though because if this venue would be home of the western force, it would be the home of Perth internationals wouldn't it? The big games like Aus vs Springboks have sold out at Subi oval with almost 42,000 so I'm thinking perhaps 35,000 might just be selling ourselves short. Wouldn't be opposed to MES being done up if they would agree to do it up right. Anything rectangular gets my vote.
But I would love to attend a rally and bring along some friends. Something NEEDS to be done! quick smart too!

i reckon we should go at least 60,000 for internationals and home finals.
but i doubt that the WAFL would be too happy with a stadia that was bigger than theirs.
I'm thinking 60,000 might be a bit too ambitious... would be fantastic if we could fill it, but the more seats in total, the more empty seats at force games. And that wouldn't make for a good atmosphere. Already too many empty seats during the season at subi for my liking...
I made Happy sad...
and we are back to retractable seating.
or possibly they could design it so that more seats could be readily added when they are needed.
all I can say is I'm glad i'm not on the committee... it's a big task!
I'm just happy to complain until we get something good.

The problem with a big stadium is that when its full its awesome, when its empty its bloody awful. Jono, whilst I love your passion, getting a 60,000 seat stadium for 1, maybe 2 Internationals a year is silly. Particularly when the Proposed 60/70,000 Seat Stadium from the Major Stadia Taskforce Report was a "convertible" Stadium and would be best utilised for our Rugby Internationals.
If you have ever had the opportunity to see on TV how good Telstra Stadium is when full (Bledisloe Cup), then you only need to see how bad it is when empty (Sydney Rabbitohs home games).
I would rather see our new Rectangular Stadium at 35,000 and have to turn people away each game then have a 15 or 20,000 empty seats for every game.

It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
hear hear ex!
I made Happy sad...
(as long as I'm not one of the people who gets turned away that is. )
I made Happy sad...
make it 40,000 then only the nose bleed empty if not a fully house. then we can accommodate the walk ups on game day.
BLACK IS THICKER THAN BLOOD
as long as weve got memberships we wont get turned away
Gotta agree with Jono her seldom, I'd be quite happy for there to be no tickets available for walkups on a home game. That makes a membership worth something and repays the loyalty of those who stuck with subi for so long. It also makes the stadium more profitable, since you don't have empty seats (which still have similar service costs) eating into the profits. When the pressure for more seats gets high enough to justify it, you add seating and will find a comparable number of memberships when they open. That's the eaut thing about elitism if you do it right, everyone wants a piece!
C'mon the
ok, about this march/protest thing?
when are we going to do it? because after the WAFL pretty much screwed us completley. we need to do something before the multi pourpose stadium gets officially approved. its gotta be done soon!
