Id rather Barnes at 10 with gits warming the bench and OConnor at 12 bring in Davies or Turner to cover wing

Out of left field but I like.

O connor has been showing some good stregnth breaking tackles and making them, with an out and out speedster down the wing like Davies or Turner may upset the oppositions defence patterns.

Cooper's defence has always been crap. I agree that he needs to spend some time warming the bench, at the same time getting him some defensive training. Gilmiester did a great job with Walters I agree but there are others who could probabaly do the job. Defence wins games, no matter how many tries you can score, if you can't stop the opposition from scoring you will lose more times than you win.
Giteau is not a No10 and never will be, we've been there and it failed. Give Berrick a good shot at it to let him grow into the role. He has a good kicking game as well as good passing game, just needs more time as the starting No 10 to really show his potential.
Giteau may start to get back to where he was when Larkin was No10 if he was not trying to cover Cooper's defensive weaknesses and flamboyance in attack.

Is it just me or does berrick look like Bernie when he's playing rugby?

It could just be the weedy blond kid in a scrum cap thing though

I think we have all forgotten so far this year he missed a number of matches against the All Blacks who would have found him out as well, and most games he has played in the pack was fairly okay alowing Pockock to protect him.

Gits back to 10 he has not fired at 12 despite all the hype, and lets get Barnes in at 12.
I think he is a point of difference player. If he didn't have a crab at 12 who was afraid of contact, he'd look better.

    Cooper is King at 10
    He stays.
he needs a real hard @rase to teach him a decent technique. SOS Axe
Cooper is a potential champion. He needs to keep playing to get better. We'll get home with the RWC on the back of his attacking genius. He won't learn how to tackle sitting on the timber

quade reminds me too much of Breyton Paulse in defence, tries to grab the ball or the players jumper instead of wrapping his long orangutan arms around the oppositions torso or legs... it doesnt work and im sorry to say players like that are hard to change this late in their careers... you learn to tackle in junior school and if youre bad at it then you'll perpetuate that unless you get the right attitude ... "that your pretty boy looks play second fiddle to taking down that 100kg prop rampaging towards you"

Despite what Rex thinks of Blakey, he's stiffened the Marlin defence. His defensive flaws as a player are irrelevant. But I agree that The Axe could get improvement out of him. Quade would be shit scared not to lift his efforts.

forget league.. Union has had many effective (sometimes brutal) tacklers over the years that could easily show him a few things..
Nathan Grey, Brian "Chiropractor" Lima, Scotty "the car crash" Gibbs, Gavin Henson, Henry Honibal( best technique ive seen), Gregan deserves special mention although his tackling style was a little.. unconventional
