Yeah, I have to say (even though it's totally unreasonable) I'm starting to run out of patience with Pekka's development in the throwing department......it can only mean that as a whole package, Ryan and Whits are even worse.

Certainly, Sheeno seems to have grown an extra leg this year, talk about grabbing your opportunity with both hands. I also have a lot of time for Mitch Inman....he's still very green, but I've seen lots of good stuff!

I suppose the decision of where Hill should play should be made on the basis of what we want to see in JOCs future. I reckon you definitely have to have JOC at 10 or 12. Shepherd (if he stays) and DHP are our future at 15 but we don't have much by way of future 10s or 12s. I'd say start Hill off at 10 with JOC at 12 and towards the end of the season switch them back with Hill at 12 and JOC at 10. Gives JOC a bit of time to learn off Hill and then put it into practice to be ready for next year just in case we can't get another 10.

JOC is on the fast track to greatness, and doesn't need a washed up kiwi bogan whoneverwas to show him some running lines

    That'll dead set do me

JOC mentioned at the open day today that 12 is his preferred option, and I think we will see Hill at 10, and JOC at 12 and Bart at 15

We need an experienced fly half. They dont necessarily have to set the world on fire. We have two developing flyhalves in JOC and Hunt. But neither are really ready to step in and guide the team around the park like an old hand. JOC can do it, but to reach his full potential, he needs someone to learn off. If we can have Hill for two years, that will allow JOC two more years at either fullback or IC, and then the step up to flyhalf will be a lot easier. One of the big reasons Dan Carter is such a good flyhalf is that he learned his trade at 12 with a seasoned 10 inside of him. Ditto for Giteau outside of Larkham.
And with JOC stepping in to 10 in a couple of years, Hunt will be able to step into 12 and be his understudy.

And Hill is not a journeyman. He is quality. Or was, hopefully he is still at that level.

I know the Blues fans are very pissed we got him and they got Brett

We must give him a reason to believe he can still play

We must make them believe. We must tell magnificent stories. Stories that extol sacrifice, bravery. We must make them believe in the victory. We must give them hope, pride, a desire to fight.
Yes... we need to make examples. But examples to follow. What we need... .. are heroes.

Pek needs to go from 2. From last season's efforts, I was completely satisfied with Whittaker's performance. For God's sake, he can throw straight. Of course I'm happy with it. Pek would be so much more useful if he was propping. What's going on with the world

    Whittaker to 2.

Comrade seems to be on the fence, which is fair enough.

But there is no point bashing Hill when you (not you personally) choose to be ignorant on the circumstances of his career. We could call Sharpe a jouneyman, like most over east do, but we aren't stupid and we know what he has done so we have a better understanding and apreciation.

I'm with Robyn on Cowan, he had a few good throws but 2 tries to chiefs came directly from poor over throws. You either need to move him to the side of the scrum, or place more players behind the lineout incase the throw goes wonky.

And that bit about Sharpe wasn't a knock on the bloke, I bleed black but I've been supporting him when he's in the green & gold, and I hate the wallabies so bloody much! Bloody Mortlock in 03!!!!!
