Soaked, sodden, slippery and sloppy… Rain drenched match for a full 80 minutes to the point that the field sideline marking were washed away... Brumbies pick up a win but no bonus points…

Nonetheless 4 points to the brumbies 3 from 4 and the season continues... Sharks at home next week for the brumbies with a long week to rest without travel...

Brumbies now have played two cellar dwellers without collecting a bonus point, this could prove the difference come semi time between making the cut and also rans...

    Yep...

But we'll take the 4 point win and more on... The team still isn't clicking but the weather didn't help... Lions greatly improved their defense tonight so hats off to their full 80 minute efforts...

I thought Steve Walsh was good for the Brumbies.

    That penalty try was rediculous.

Steven Moore's try was inconclusive but they awarded it. At no time could you see the ball on or over the line.

I'd feel a bit hard done by IF I was a Lions fan, of which I am not.

But I was going for them and I think I'm going for the sharks next weekend is it?

There is no chance the Lions could possibly win away. They struggle enough to win at home.
Sooooo.....did the Brumbies just fall over the line and the Lions win a bonus point?

I haven't watched the game yet, so I'm not being a smart arse, but it sounds like the comments from those who have suggest I wasn't far off the mark!

    That was meant in jest

Sounds like the Lions did ok. Or that the Brumbies played like crap. You couldn't seriously back the Lions though. Even if it did annoy 'skip.

Mustn't have made myself clear enough. I wasn't backing the lions, I was backing the Brumbies to stumble and fizzle to a win by less than 7. My prediction wasn't totally pulled out of my ass either, I looked carefully at the performances orchestrated by their flyhalf with his former team and noticed a trend!

Nup... Brumbies 24 Lions 13 no bonus point for the Lions... Zipity...

Brumbies dominated a very wet sloppy match. The Lions had nothing but the advantage of poor weather...

Brumbies had a number of tries disallowed... Nonetheless just 4 points closer to the semis...

Pieter do you back every Saffer team? and the Force... Perhaps you're over committed...

As a matter of fact - I hate the Lions but after last night I actually felt sorry for them The Brumbies dominated nothing out of their own mate The referee found a dislike in the Lions and killed them on the field

After weeks of listening to SA commentators call players by the wrong names and dribble over Ref call... It was a pleasant change... Also enjoyed the more balanced Refereeing…

Lions should have been given several professional foul play yellow cards...
