I just hope that if they do somehow unearth some nominal competing offer, the Force is prepared to call the bluff and walk away rather than soften their position.

They did it the last time they were negotiating a contract with him (2011?). I have no doubt that they are prepared to do exactly the same this time (especially since his risk Vs reward margin has swung in favour of the former compared to 2011).

Can't see what all the drama is, last i heard any announcement regarding JOC signing with the Force would be announced a week or so after Bled 2. An article appears in the paper about the subject and people jump to conclusions and start bagging him again. I reckon if he was messing the Force around with contract negotiations Foles would have ended any speculation about our interest in signing him, remembering WE are in the box seat regarding any negotiations. Obviously a slow news week and the journo in question has been told to fill up his column with some shit!!
