We have a club statement: https://www.westernforce.com.au/arti...orce-statement
RugbyWA and the Road Safety Western Force would like to issue the following statement;
Under no circumstances do we believe today’s speculation around the future of the Road Safety Western Force to be true. Two and half weeks ago, through a national phone link-up all clubs were told that the ARU through the governing body, SANZAAR was investigating a number of issues and those issues had to be resolved prior to a decision being made to reduce any of the Australian franchises.
There has been no further contact from the Australian Rugby Union to any of the Western Force players or staff, so at this time there is no further comment on the matter until substantiated facts are put forward.
Until then the organisation will be business as per usual, with the team taking on the Blues in Auckland this Saturday and the launch of the Own the Force share applications this Thursday. Click here for more information.
How hard is it to just get told the truth about what's happening. Decision would have been made, one way or another get it out there. All this speculation and uncertainty is doing more damage than good.
Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.
So NSW media sabotaging the own the Force campaign then?
Smoke, fire! I'm not feeling very confident. If this does happen the ARU will never see another cent from me and I will not be supporting any other Au team!
May the FORCE be with you!
Hmmm, if this is the case, what is the solution to making the ARU's time when they venture over this way in future years as disagreeable as possible? I would rather have no rugby from those morons over east than a token Wallabies match with a bunch of wanks playing in the disgraceful yellow.
As someone on Twitter said, if the ARU hasn't even been in touch with RugbyWA in the last two and a half weeks, how bloody distainful is that?! Can't even find the decency to maintain contact with our CEO if only to say there is no news? That speaks volumes to me about how much respect they have for us over here. Hang your head in shame Pulver, you muppet puppet!
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
Devo :-(
Great game, Fucken battled right through to the 80!
Easy fixed make WA a non union state... NRL would love that amalgamate all union and league teams ARU ( Arsehole ruining Union) Every week this goes on it I loose confidence in the ARU and I think it is doing major harm to the code here.. Maybe that's what they want so it easier to swing the axe.. Game on the Sunday 9th April is going to either be a big party because we are safe or a funeral and everyone wearing Black not blue
Well at least the Force seem to be proactive with that media statement.
Ongoing speculation is only going to hurt everyone involved but that was always going to happen when SANZAAR people couldn't make a decision after a fucking 8 month review.
I said it before but I'll say it again, Rugby administrators are hopeless.
After London they lowered the Cone of Silence to get the OK from the broadcasters. News Ltd is the broadcaster here. They broke the story. Bit of a worry?
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
