Have Nick as forwards coach might even be appealling for a potential coaching candidate.
Surely amongst the dozens of cancellation and exit clauses in a modern sporting contract there would be a way of getting rid of him if required.
But I still think they must have at least THOUGHT about the new head coach in the process. Given the lack of any action at all in the Genia fiasco, I would think that the Force would have been quite safe to withdraw an offer given the circumstances.

I for one just want it over with, so we can get on with the business! Tired of all the speculation and innuendoes!! Just make a decision for goodness sake!!!!!!
I'll second that!
Pure speculation, but the fact that there has been no news about the head coach position lately leads me to believe that it's an international-level coach, and they can't announce it until their matches are over. Which also leads me to believe that it's Scott Johnson. Probably more wishing and hoping, but that's my theory anyway!
It has nothing to do with it's an international-level coach, and they can't announce it until their matches are over. because they have only just started the interviews. You can't announce something or someone if you have not made a decision.
They said it would be two weeks, it'll be two weeks!
"Bloody oath we did!"

Maybe they have been holding out for our last home game to announce a new coach?
