Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

The Ferris Wheel gets me every time... I cannot think of a use of public funds that makes less sense to me, and I'm not stranger to frivolous purchases.

Been teasing myself going over the Town of Vincent proposals for upgrading MES to 25k, 30k and 35k seats.... oh what might have been *sniff*

Not really scarcastic when the government is interested in getting a rail line to Ellenbrook and the Airport, and extending the northern line to Butler

Won't happen in the next 10 years. The airport is shit and they are apparently going to bulldoze and rebuild both domestic and international terminals on one site.

And i havent got a f**king clue where Ellenbrook is. North of River somewhere isn't it?

WA infrastructure is always behind what is needed, and when something IS built, it is built for what is needed at the time of construction and not for the future.

WA truely does stand for Wait Awhile

Well the airport situation and lack of associated rail line is a disaster, no doubt, but a monument to the years of bipartisan crap governance we have endured. We'll see how they can manage to cock the next version up.

Classic! No-one can agree on a vision for the waterfront, except they all think it should get a ferris wheel. What odds it is all we have for twenty years? A pint sized London Eye copy looking proudly out over, um, just the river.

    Sure why not?

While we're at it, why not rename Langley Park "Truck-o-sarus' Lair" and be done with it- it'll be like the Royal Show all year round!

Can't argue with spending on rail transport. It's for the future. What I can't understand though, is why the linking of the southern railway to Thornlie is not a priority. People might actually us it to get to work in the industrial areas and they might get some traffic off the roads. That was the original route planned by the Libs and while as a stand alone option it was not right, it's a logical next step for mine. Must be no votes in it.

Just thought I'd do a little bit of the legwork for you, the following links will lead you to the endorsed candidates for the Liberals, Labour and the Greens. Given that nominations for candidacy close today, and I don't think that Warnbro will be carried by the "build a stadium in Mt Lawley" ticket I haven't nominated, but Ring the local sitting member and the two major parties at least, press them to tell you what their party's policy is on building a rectangular stadium. This will only become an election issue if we all get on the 'phones.

While I'm on the topic, write a letter to the editor of your local community newspaper discussing the rectangular stadium. If you don't know what to say PM one of the noisy bastards who've been banging on about it for eight months now, I reckon most of them could pull one out of their ass about now!

Make a lot of noise.....if we whinge loud enough they will build it for us!

    Liberal
    Labour
    Green

In a couple of days, I'll be able to post complete candidate lists by electorate (once the electoral commission publish them)

It is (in the Swan Valley...somewhere).

I don't mind a line to the airport. Mind you, I'm sure the 37 bus route (which goes from Perth to the Airport) is quite good.

Overall, I think Carps is a closet train driver. All his infrastructure projects are train lines.
