Now would be a good time for a media blitz, seeing as next season's memberships are about to go on sale!!
"The main difference between playing League and Union is that now I get my hangovers on Monday instead of Sunday - Tom David
While I can see where RugbyWA is coming from with this plan it is sad that they have to pander to the 'entitled' masses who sit back and need to be spoon fed information on 'their' team so they can decide if they will still go along and support them next year. Especially considering this news has already been in the public domain for so long already (to those with the wherewithal to seek it out).
These same people probably won't sign back up until they see us start to move up the ladder and will jump back on board and bleat how they were a 'foundation member'...
You lose the foundation member status the instant you don't renew IMHO

I agree with GIGS but I think Darth was implying that anyway
Scumbag bandwagon supporters who will jump back on board once the team starts to see some success
"pond of algae" instead of "sea of blue"?
To be honest, I don't have an issue with the scumbag bandwagon supporters who jumped ship, but want to hop back on board. Its not like The Force offered them much incentive to stay the last three or four years with the dross that has been served up and with the internal shenanigans, its amazing we have ANY supporters left after the past two years. Even I was really considering giving it away if they had screwed the pooch this time.
We foundation members should not create a them and us culture or we will be just as bad as the eastern states. Lets be inclusive. If the Force gets their act together, starts playing attractive attacking rugby again like the first three or four years, and starts winning as well because we now have some depth of experience in all departments, the sea of blue both new and old will have something to be proud of.
As the Force are saying, "RELAUNCH"
(not saying that foundation members shouldn't be proud of supporting the boys through thick and thin)
The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
I agree, maybe i came across a bit wrong with my message, all the support we can get is better for the team and rugby in WA.
Old, new, previous members coming back, it's all good money for the team and we'll need that if we are to survive and thrive.
I do like the fact that I've sat through every home game (except for one... don't ask...) a couple of away games, and all the losses, draws and getting soaked to the bone last season in that unbelievably wet game where I sat in two inches of water from kick off to final siren (for a loss), because it's going to make the victories all the more sweeter when they start to come more regularly, and in the postseason!
I guess its all in your definition of how you have shown your support.
For the last couple of years due to financial constraints I have not been able to keep my Supporters Membership on going. But I invite anyone to go thru my posts here on TWF over that same period of time to question my loyalty and where my heart belongs.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa

Good work Exile.
You don't have spare rooms at your place for Hansie, BDG, Dinky Di, Rex & Co do you? A few years in Sydney might calm them down.
wouldn't think so.Exile has seen me in action!
