"Playing against the in-form Chiefs would be a tough assignment for O'Connor, but it would give him a good idea of where he is at the moment."
No kidding - the centre channel is going to see some traffic this weekend, for damn sure. Anyone else remember last year?

"A product of Queensland's great rugby nursey, Nudgee College, O'Connor was poached by the Force last year...O'Connor had a scholarship with Parramatta when he was 14 and it is understood the Eels are interested in him again. But O'Connor is expected to remain with the Force."
Did anyone see the Main Game article about the boy? Had to smile - was consistently and repeatedly told he was too small for League, so a nice moment for his dad when he could tell the league boys they had missed the boat when they came sniffing around.

I saw it, couldn't help but smile as well when it got to the part whe the Brisbane recruiting guy came back after telling his old man a few years ago "that he was to small for League" and his old man said something along the lines of "sorry he's signed with the Western Force"

    it was a good article

I think it all happened a bit before that BLR. Moments after being squeezed out of Growden's wife's (though would anyone ever really A- marry Growden or B- sleep with him) uterus he was snatched and shipped out on a plane to Western Australia to be raised by a pack of wild dingoes.

He wasn't ' poached ', he was offered the opportunity to learn and develop alongside Giteau, Mckay and co. Who could blame him?
    Should go well

If he goes as well as the wraps he's been getting over the past 2 or so weeks, we might be in for a treat. Maybe not straight away, but 2009 looks good for sure

Well, before I put on my cynic hat, I'll say good luck Rabbit, have a blinder and prove that rugby really IS a game for all body types.....I don't think you need to be a consistent crash baller to play 12, that's just what people are doing with it right now.

Hope he can tackle as well as he can step, because there's some tough work to be done in there, and Spanner is the logical choice for that spot until Gits can get a handle on the defense closer into the ruck.

Now for the cynicism, anybody think this is about saving Lachie from the beating he'd get at the hands of the chiefs? How abou this being the closure of the 2008 book and the opening of a 2009 book!

You certainly don´t while you have Mortlock and Cross fit and firing. Both are tough as nails and can get over the gain line almost all the time. It certainly makes it easier to play a lighter 12 if you´ve got those kinds of 13s.
