Wests Scarborough 1st Grade juggernaut has played finals rugby each and every year since its inception and continues this remarkable feat yet again this season and unbelievably it's still rolling on and as an added little circle jerk for the masses Wests actually hold the record for the current longest unbroken finals record.
Soaks will definitely win one trophy this year, "The Most Stacked Side Award " the usual sweeping under the carpet will occur if anyone dare challenge the establishment. The cherry on top would be if Soaks 2nds actually did run out in the finals next week against Wests with a couple of Force players on the team sheet.
I am really a Palmyra troll.
OK, OK, credit where it's due.
Rangi did say before the game that Palmyra would win by 30 points.
He was playing first grade very recently and played for your 7s side at the start of the season which was mostly first grade players and he now finds himself somehow relegated to 4th grade. I'm not questioning his eligibility it's more of a sportsmanship thing. A young guy who is still capable of playing 1st grade should not be running around scoring 3, 4 tries a game in 4th grade against guys in their 40s and 50s and guys that have never played the game before. I guess some people lack that moral fortitude and humility.
yeah, there is something to be said about the spirit of 5th grade. we have played a team where there was one try in it, then next we play them we get flogged by 40 points. A number of unknown faces rock up and take the game. I get that these guys want to play rugby, but turning up once to trounce the opposition is not very sportsman like.
Zed, Zed, Zed,
Not the context or the intent of your first post on this player or your inference of what pally was supposedly doing.
Some facts i would like to point out to you,;
The player
The player has not played for us for 3 or 4 years, he chose to go to another club because he was being played in 2nd grade, again he found himself playing second grade at that club.
I believe he did not play for the other club this year, he came to training late in the season and he was asked to train with 2nd grade, his reply was only wants to play social with some of the guys played with in the past.
So he was not relegated to 4th grade he never played or trained until probably the week he played your club, to date he has only been to 3 training's and played 2 games.
The sevens team was mostly first grade players,
I have seen the 7s team list from the jetty 7s, there was only one player who played 1st grade last year and 2 playing 1st grade this year,
1 colts player, who has not played since the 3rd or fourth round, out due to long term injury.
2 players from other clubs not regular 1st grade players and both have played for us in the past.
3 players who are not playing due to work or have moved away, with only one you would find on a team list in first grade for 3 or 4 games as a reserve early part of the season.
3 players who have started just about every 2nd grade game and bench for 1st s.
1 3rd grade player
So Zed, again your post is incorrect and lacking fact, in future can you post comments with fact or real tongue in cheek rumour and innuendo.
Over the last 2 years the captain and coaches of that 4th grade have worked really hard to get players back to the club or keep players playing, and a lot of those guys are playing together for a reason this year as well.
As to the point about some players with ability only wanting to play down the grades, i cant answer that and what motivates individuals, i still thought i could play 5th then 4ths maybe even 3rd s or even 2nd s this year one trial game fixed that thinking right up.
However it is not just a pally thing, other clubs have the same sorts of teams where the ability far out-weights the grade they are in.
My thinking is the more people we have playing rugby the better for our clubs and rugby in general, what are you doing to bring players back to your club?
Happy to send your the team list with that information.
Zed, stop yanking on Lexxie's chain.
Who do you think you are? Westie?
Lexx, on a serious note, have the dispensations come through for the new South African prop and the two Saracens centres in time for the finals? Has Jake Ball's clearance back to Pally arrived?
I wouldnt even bother lex ,zed and his wanneroo mate pieter all they do is winge about everything thats not in there favour.anyway you should just worry about how your going to defeat neddies.i would of thought you would of been having nightmares on how to stop davis tevitta.good luck for the weekend should be a cracker
Simple give him a grass cutter on the ankle he just had pinned.

On another note I have long championed Brad Lacey's cause and I wish him all the best playing for Brisbane City in the NRC.I am dissapointed that a local product who made Aussie 20's 2 years running wasn't given an opportunity to develop his game.
If there were perceptions that he lacked a few things to play at Super rugby level then any other set up would identify and rectify those weaknesses because Lacey has all the physical attributes and his cold blooded determination his biggest asset.
Hope you smash it up over there Lacey because you got screwed over by this set up.
