I am stoked about Chris Alcock.

On the weekend waiting for the Tahs v Crusaders game, watched a couple of last seasons matches and he had some bollocking runs breaking the line, together with Stander great strength to come off the bench next season.

What a set of workman like 120% effort back row players, Hodgson, McCalman, Cottrell, Alcock, and Stander.

May not individually (according to Wallaby selectors, not me) be the best, but I cannot think of a better Super 15 combination.

Hopefully this news is reason enough NOT to sign Ed Quirk. Stay in Queensland ginger balls!

Get RHP in the squad if we need lock / back row cover.

    Good news for the club.

Of those players gaffa I would like the WA boys to get the opportunity, if they play with half the passion as Ollie and/or determination as Kyle then we are really going places. Isn't it great there are 5 more West Australians that could be there abouts next year.

Nemani Nadolo is a man we should go after as a replacement for HB! He's out of contract with the Saders has been insulted in ChCh. He may just be available and he also played for the spirit.

Ok Gigsy, as a winger not as the HB as he is irreplaceable!😄
I agree with Palitu his kickings not a strong point but apart from that I haven't seen many flaws. I think he may have ended up top try scorer this year. And we need try scorers!

Ed Stubbs has been released and according to Muddly's inside info from Awards Night, we have Sias for three more years

that being said, he was very quiet in the final. No real impact.

Dunno if you remember SNOB, but he was here in 2006 and played for the original Spirit. I think he spent most of his time at Pally? Now there's one who slipped the net! Would look good on our left flank for sure.

I'd bet my house on Pek staying too.

Interesting that they kept Rory on but let Stubbsey go. Maybe there IS a big wing announcement coming soon!

IIRC, his record for the Spirit was something like: touched the ball 5 times, 2 tries, 2 dropped balls and one season-ending injury. Monster of a player but the rumour was he was lazy. The Crusaders seem to have cured him of that.

There was a lot of that in those years though, not just him.

He would probably be worth a look, but I think the final proved that, during the regular season, he was made to look good by what was happening inside him. I don't think we can offer him that amount of space and momentum yet.
