Your points are very valid mate and you will get no argument from me.
How ever - the petition had run its course. the last 2 weeks the petition had received like 25 signatures - the last week no more then 5.
It had run its race.
However - it did assist RugbyWA with their plans - their words not mine. And if it had helped SANZAAR stop and think rather then make a snap decision then I am happy to call that a win.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Definitely agree that the petition had run its course and if it helped SANZAR postpone their decision then it did some good but I don't think a claim of victory is warranted until SANZAR make a decision and the future of the Force is guaranteed.
At the end of the day - there is nothing more we can do - with the petition- but wait until the next SANZAAR meeting and see what happens.
I feel that perhaps we do need to do more prior to that meeting - But I have no idea what that is.

I think the ARU has changed their rhetoric as a result of the two initiatives. That, in itself, is a victory.

Don't wish to let facts get in the way of a good story BUT.....
Hodgson has started in every game that he's played btwn 2010-2016.
He started 10 of 13 in 2009.
Pocock stated in every game that he played btwn 2009-2012.
Prior to Pocock's departure Hodgson was awarded 2 x Player of Year and 3 x Force Man of Year.
Hodgson also won Force Man of year and Player of Year during his 4 years as Captain.
Once Hodgson moved to BSF, prior to his Wallaby selection in 2009, he teamed up with Pocock and then moved into the OSF position when Pocock departed in 2012.
Hodgson wasn't in Pocock's shadow - but always by his side.
