I see that the bottom tier seats for the eastern stand have started to be installed and most of the trusses for the roof are in place (only ends to go)

i still don't know what this little new brick building is. at first i thought it might be toilets, as there were a lot of service penetrations in the slab. now however i think it might be some kind of power/comms building.

it looks like they are also building a new corporate box next to the new southern stand. that is the steel structure in the second pick.

the eastern stand seems to be coming along pretty well. they have yet to install the two end trusses, but i have a feeling that might be because of the order of installation, maybe they have to get the current trusses stable first or something.

The roofing is starting to go on.
Ancilliary buildings are being completed, and a few more started.
The light towers (x2) are now up.
The seating is starting to go in.
The facilities under the new eastern stand (i supppose toilets/food stalls/merch/etc.) are now starting to be built. they are pre-fab concrete, so will go up pretty quickly i would imagine.

from the looks of these new facilities under the eastern stand, i imagine they are accessed directly from the front seating section of the stand (there doesn't seem to be any doors on this back side shown in the photos). that means much less of a walk to grab a burger/take a toilet break etc.

given the progress since christmas, i am not too worried about having my seat ready for that first home game.


you can see in the final photo the section (about 1/4 of the way up the stand) where i assume the new food/beverage/WC's will be accessed from.

edit: having just thought about it a little more, and looked at the photos in more detail; i think these might be new corporate boxes, with the food for the masses underneath...

Yes, that's it. Looks pretty big for the light tower and being architecturally ignorant why would it need such a big service gantry or is it temporary?

Also, i think we will have to make sure we totally fill up this eastern stand. with the colour of the new seats (obviously to tie in with the Nib corporate colours) if there are any empty seats we could soon be re-named the "Sea of Green"!
