hey Mud, who was the other fly half the Brumbies had playing at 10 last year? He made the wallabies as well for EOYT I think. He played 10 a lot but I can't remember his name? What happened to him?

Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
Matt Toomua is a very talented player, but very much a 10. He played some Brumbies matches in the great tri-fly experiment earlier this season, which at lest did gave him a run. However last week he was out playing Shute shield in Sydney for the Beasts at 12 and didn't travel to Perth (Go figure!). My thoughts are they're trying to get him game time and build more confidence; otherwise he just gets to watch Matt Giteau every week and doesn't get enough game time. The other guy to look out for who is young Nic White the scrumhalf from last years AUS U20 squad. He is currently also playing Shute shield but for Eastwood. He is crisp pass and has great game awareness.
Next season the Brumbies will have a young squad but with plenty of talent. Names that not know by many know yet, but the real deal. I'm sure Jake White and Larkham will cut through the academy and 1st squad with ease and we'll see they lads. Some of these guys have already been training with the 1st squad this season. I'm rather looking forward to it...
Toomua would look good in a Force jersey. I thought he was the best of the tri fly bigade personally.
Giteau is rubbish at 10 although I admire his attacking skills when given space. As far as running a game though, he sucks at it

Gits offers the most experience for a Brumbies squad depleted and doing it tough. If the squad was all available at the start of the season backs would have looked something like this: 9 Valentine, 10 Toomua, 11 Speight, 12 Giteau, 13 AAC, 14 McCabe, 15 Lealiifano
But with the forwards struggling Giteau was brought in closer to the ball to make quick decisions. Lealiifano played some 15 and swapped around with out at 10. Toomua ended up fitting in even on the wing due to injuries. Not an ideal season but I know you guys at the Force understand injuries with a restricted squad.
Brumbies key problems have been too many 12s, too many loosies, poor recruitment for wingers and locks…
This will change next year, in some cases it already has been signed a lined up... thankfully...
This doesn't mean we'll be swapping spit in the showers

The Force should definitely make a big play for Toomua to play for us in 2012. Lock him into a three year contract and he and Kyle Godwin can form our future at 10.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast.
