We're rooted- crazy arse Gillard, controlled by unions and the greens. If you could have picked the worst combination for the resource state of WA then this would be it. But at least we'll have faster download speeds to watch the country crumble. Or maybe I'm overreacting.....what a f*#king joke this election has been

it won't be that bad, having a wee small majority but still no guarentee of crossing the floor means that Labor is on a very tight leash. All three independants made that very clear!!

I think you might be. Sounds more like a Rex Messup rant.

Whoever formed government they will only be able to get things done by negotiation and proper debate. You know - the way parliament was supposed to work in the first place. Before it was hijacked by the political party machines.

I hope it is the way forward. But not getting my hopes up.

The Offshore Petroleum Regulatory Authority (OPRA) and the Western Independent National Forum for Renewable Energy (WINFRE) have today announced they will join forces and pull out of Australia due to concerns over the new government. OPRA WINFRE has decided there are already too many do gooders

Best to see the funny side I suppose- no more rants from Doobie

Interesting what comes out in the wash up.
Just reading in the Fin Review the deal struck with the two egos and Labor and I quote: "NBN Co, building the $43bn network, will bring forward the introduction of wireless services and satellite services so that regional Australia can get access to better broadband straight away."
Isn't it exactly that "mish-mash" the Coalition got rogered for during the election?
I thought NBN was about hard wiring every home, not about the most expedient and cost effective service for each situation?

I think it might be a deal done to get them online while waiting for holes to be dug for the fibre.

I think you might be having a slight lend there, but anyway........... I don't recall them claiming that. I seem to recall a figure of 97%? To move from that to 100% is impractical and could concievably double the length of cable roll-out and create a bigger budget black hole than the other mob dreamed up.
