Coach, thanks for putting up those articles on laws. I have a question about clothing I've been looking for someone to quiz on the matter and picked you.
I can't find it in the laws (as posted) but I recall way back when - they outlawed shorts with pockets or any projections. This was a safety issue as tacklers could get fingers caught and broken or dislocated. The laws specify buckles, straps and things so I think I'm on track.
Quare? Are the new springbok shorts legal? They have tabs either side to allow props (and others) to bind onto the shorts. This seems like a retrograde and dangerous thing.![]()
probably a good thing if it helps binding, front rows should wear loose jersey's to aid the same thing!!!!!
Chuck Norris has the greatest Poker-Face of all time. He won the 1983 World Series of Poker, despite holding only a Joker, a Get out of Jail Free Monopoly card, a 2 of clubs, 7 of spades and a green #4 card from the game Uno.
1 of our props had a moment of truth this weekend when he went into scrum - it was caused by two bottle lids and $10 worth of coins in his pocket![]()
61 years between Grand SlamsWas the wait worth it - Ya betta baby
Well TQ1, firstly a prop shouldn't have that much money on him (they should have a bar tab only)
But he is not allowed pockets at all.
Thats my point, if its illegal in all other games - why are the Boks allowed tabs? they will catch some poor buggers finger - its dangerous surely
