Let's see who knows what all these fine players actually play for?
Pictured below are 8 cups, shields and trophies - see if you can put a name to them.
Put 1 and then the name or something like that and maybe who plays for it!
Brother Gallagher I hear you
and these other 3.
I'll do the answers next week (Wednesday) so have a go!
Okay, because your all very smart - I've added Cup 9 and 10.
5 is a toughie but it's from a well known competition.
9 is a real doozie (the ribbon's are the colours of one of the teams) and 10 is easy peasy lemon squeezey.

Just looking at Bill, the teams that have won it are following a very nice pattern
1987 New Zealand
1991 Australia
1995 South Africa
1999 Australia
2003 England
2007 do you notice the same pattern that I do???
80 Minutes, 15 Positions, No Protection, Wanna Ruck?
Ruck Me, Maul Me, Make Me Scrum!
Education is Important, but Rugby is Importanter!
Is 9 the Ryan Wheeler Memorial Trophy (Waikato-Taranaki)?
yes - I had a baby in 96 and 04 - my legs are crossedOriginally Posted by The InnFORCEr

We we're at the World Cup in 1995 and 2003 as well TQ1!
On the other hand it means that we....![]()
Brother Gallagher I hear you
Don't see a pattern, but I do notice that the younger members of the All Blacks team wouldn't have been born the last time they lifted the RWC!!!Originally Posted by The InnFORCEr

Good point Jed - I also think Brian Lima will be about the only Rugby World Cup player who can remember seeing the All Black win it!
You are pretty clever when it comes to the trophies - nearly!
AndyS hit the nail right on the head with the Ryan Wheeler Memorial Trophy - correct me if I'm wrong mate, but this impressive trophy is fought over by Waikato and Taranaki only?
Shaun and Jackal good knowledge, but Jackal had one tiny slip up!
Cup 1 - Currie Cup fought over by the South African provinces.
Cup 2 - Ranfurly Shield. A challenge trophy by New Zealand provinces.
Cup 3 - "Bill". Biggest Rugby competition in world and the smallest cup in the world!
Cup 4 - Calcutta Cup. First played for on Christmas Day 1872 in Calcutta, India between 20 mad Englishmen and 20 mental Scotsmen!
Cup 5 - The Super "12" Trophy. Only seen in Canberra, Auckland and Canterbury in the past. Not suprisely we get confused as we'll only be getting to see the Super 14 trophy here in Perth next year!!!
Cup 6 - Heineken Cup - The on again off again Northern hemisphere premier tournament trophy.
Cup 7 - Tonight is the night when Australia reclaims the Bledisloe cup. Given originally by Governer-General of New Zealand. According to the Australia Rugby Union he presented the cup for the first time in 1931 and New Zealand Rugby Union reckon he gave it for the first time in 1932?
It appears disagreements have been going on for years!
Cup 8 - Tom Richards Trophy. The trophy named after the Vegetable Creek born Wallaby and Lion. Played between the Lions and the Wallabies. Richards also played for Traansval in the Currie cup and player coached Tolouse.
Cup 9 - Ryan Wheeler Memorial Trophy. AndyS your too good for me.
Cup 10 - Another of the Wallabies 2007 trophies the Tri-Nations Series Trophy!
Well done to joint TWF Cup Champions The Jackal, Shaun and AndyS.
- have we got a cup smilie?
Brother Gallagher I hear you
