Thing is with Mr Growden, he only thinks he knows it all. Whoever is his current target for assassination, he rarely provides constructive criticism to back up what he is saying. Few examples of where the person has gone wrong with on-field strategies etc. His forte is usually just all the political stuff.
Growden is a tool as well, i think i read an article of his last week in relation to the brumbies being the only real chance for an aussie team to make the finals, and wrote the force of as wannabes...I want us to make him eat his words so bad, he is a dumb ass...

Rugby: Deans has choice of Wallabies or Waratahs - reports
5:00PM Tuesday April 03, 2007
Robbie Deans could take up the coaching job at either the Wallabies or the Waratahs next season according to reports in Australia.
The former All Blacks fullback and 2003 World Cup assistant coach has barely been out of the headlines since the Crusaders' one-point win over the Waratahs here on Saturday.
A Sydney Daily Telegraph report yesterday said New South Wales officials held informal talks with Deans about taking over the Waratahs job for 2008, should their current coach Ewen McKenzie usurp John Connolly as Wallabies coach post-World Cup.
Today, the Sydney Morning Herald went a step further, placing Deans on the shortlist of candidates, alongside McKenzie, for the Wallabies job.
A game of squash between Deans, the four-time Super 12/14-winning coach, and Australian Rugby Union (ARU) operations manager Pat Wilson in Sydney on Saturday added fuel to the rumours.
"I've known Robbie for a fair while, first meeting him at a Sanzar conference when I was with the NSW Rugby Union, and the squash game was a chance to catch up," Wilson told the Sydney Morning Herald.
"Our conversation was nothing too serious. I was just seeing where he was at. It was pretty general stuff."
Wilson will reportedly be involved in deciding Connolly's replacement should he step down, or be sacked, after the World Cup.
The ARU last week admitted it would consider foreign candidates for the coaching job.
The Sydney Morning Herald said Deans, Brumbies coach Laurie Fisher and Wallabies assistant coach Scott Johnson were early favourites for the Wallabies' job.
McKenzie and Blues coach David Nucifora were considered among the next tier of candidates.
Deans, who comes off contract with the Crusaders after this year's Super 14, has refused to confirm or deny speculation in recent weeks but has admitted he is looking for "a new challenge" in the short term.
His only definitive statement was to say he'd turned down an offer from South Africa's Stormers.
"You don't rule anything out, you've got a great climate," Deans told AAP last week. "You've got your good footballers. Who knows, I don't know."

To whom it may concern,
I am writing to you as an avid rugby fan who would love nothing more than to see the Wallabies return to their past glory, a team that was respected and feared, a team that won games.
It's my understanding that long-time Crusaders coach Robbie Deans is being considered to take over after John Connelly, I think this is a fantastic idea and the ARU should do everything in their power to make this happen.
There needs to be more happening within the ARU to lure Deans rather than Pat Wilson kicking his arse at squash. Offer him accomodation over our beautiful Sydney harbour, take him out to fancy resturants, drinking, gentlemens clubs. I'd certainly like to offer my assistances in those areas, all in the concerted effort to get him interested in coaching the Wallabies.
The ARU certainly would not be doing themselves a disservice by also engaging in various "off the books" activities to woo Robbie Deans across the ditch. Such as organising female escorts who offer "massages with happy endings", as well as "friends with benefits" of said escorts.
Deans has a proven track record and should be considered the leading if not only candidate for the top coaching job in Australia.
Thank you for your time.

I vote for Campese.
I just want to see props trying to Goose Step. It's his only claim to fame.
Bacon, I like the letter, and flamethrower, i resent the line about goosestepping props, that is pure poetry my friend...More props should be trying it at least...

I think a team of John Mitchell, Rod McQueen and John O'Neill would be unbeatable. I reckon Mitch is enough of a pro to be able to handle both the Force and the Wallabies.
So you reckon anyone taking on this job would need O'Neil to keep the ARU of their backOriginally Posted by joblot

i think Nucifora he is the best man for the job. every player needs a change of coach every few years and Nucifora is the perfect man for it. i like how the blues are so freeflowing and they keep the ball alive i hope he could bring that to the walibies.
The only reason to go for Nucifora in front of Deanes is purely because Nucifora is the Australian.
Deanes is far and away the better Coach by any measure apart from Nationality.
Exactly what Australian Rugby needs right now is a Wallaby Coach without any real or percieved baggage and no agenda apart from winning matches and developing talent on the road to 2011.
If the ARU go for anyone else than Deanes it will be for political reasons.

Some needs to be appointed with total authority. Cut out the factions which have plagued the ARU for years. They are worse that a Political party.Originally Posted by Thequeerone
The thing with Knuckles only coaching for 2 years is probably because he was hoping to line up this national coaching director job where the Wallaby coach reports to him. Much like the setup for England. Nice try Knuckles ! After the communications disasters with Jones & McEnzie, he's got no chance.
Anybody know why Growden & co seem to think Laurie Fisher is the frontrunner ? Growden is a fat pie eating nitwit but his mail on such matters is usually on the money.
To the extreme !
