I think the boys can get up and win...
I watched the replay of the Hurricanes match yesterday and was pretty pleased with what I saw.
We were very unlucky not to score a few more tries in that match. The first push over try which was held up, a Hurricanes player joined the maul from the side at the point of the ball carrier and he was the one who held it up, a really bad missed call by both Tappe and the touchy. Should have been a penalty try.
Their first try (the one in which Conrad Smith broke his leg) also came from a turnover in which there were 2 Hurricanes players offside.
I know calls are going to happen like this in every game, but you take away that first break out try and throw in another one for our boys and the game starts to look a lot different.
There are some interesting line up changes this week with Digby being out... Scott Daruda moving to Centre is one of them, especially seeing how well Haig Sare played when he came on last week.
One thing that was evident from last week is the need for some hard runners to straighten up the defense when we are swinging the ball wide. Too many times we just kept throwing it wide to the wingers without freezing the defence with inside straight runners. This is understandable considering the injuries we suffered at number 12... Hopefully this week we can get that sorted and give our wingers a chance with some one on one opportunities.
CARN THE FORCE (21-13 to the Force)

Incompetent isn't the right word... But its the first one that comes to mind.

Yes, Sare was pretty good when he came on last week but, like I said in another thread, I'm pretty surprised Staniforth is going back to wing. I thought he was good at 13 last week and with his experience he might have been there for the season. But I'm not gonna get into questioning John Mitchell's decisions that's for sure. Hopefully we'll see the beginnings of a brilliant new centres combination. There are some interesting line up changes this week with Digby being out...
