"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! Option 3. I'm not even keen on a league team here anyway. Particularly a second hand one. But it looks London to a brick on.

There's enough scope in Other Sports anyway.

For Option 1: Re: all West Australian teams. I mean, I can find bits about the Scorchers and Glory on here, but less so about the Wildcats, Heat, Fever, Thundersticks, Diamonds, Torpedoes, Angels, etc. We have a fair few WA sides across various sports.

I admit I read this as WF being aligned with the league and think that could be made to work to the advantage of both codes BUT seeing as we can’t get the local clubs to all come together and back each other and the Force I think I’m probably dreaming.
Answering the poll I don’t see why not to start with and it might just show the league thugs that we don’t hold a grudge! Bloody Mungos!

I guess that relies on the contributors having an interest in posting about other sports. League posts are pretty common because there's a lot of people in here who are League fans as well.

Have previously floated the concept of the Force working with the (now named) Bears in parallel and, under those circumstances, I would be in favour.
As it stands, and as the most likely outcome, being totally independent and in competition for players and supporters, no chance.
That doesn't mean I won't and others shouldn't be discouraged from running commentary on their place in the sporting landscape, but for me it won't be through the lens of a supporter.

As has been highlighted before, the biggest threat they pose is in the pathways area. Covid 19 put paid to the NRLWA's SG Ball squad. So the proposed WA pathways details in the bid would make interesting reading.

I read an article last night saying the Bears NSWRL side would be a feeder side for the Western Bears but I'd imagine there will be a local pathway set up when the licence is awarded.

Norths have a long established pathway from State Cup to Flegg, Ball Cup & Harold Matt's. Pretty much uninterrupted since they were boned from first grade. A good guess might be to re-instate the Pirates SG Ball with anyone good enough to progress told to relocate to Sydney

PVL wants to reintroduce a national reserve grade. He usually gets his way. That could be a conundrum for the Bears.

    My two cents worth.

This is a Western Force Fans website, not a West Australian Sports website.

How so? North Sydney Bears or Western Bears?

Not sure what you're asking. But Norths have always had all those grades in various forms. I meant they may choose to re-start Pirates in SG Ball and run a separate Norths SG Ball. Keep younger players in WA initially.

Reserve grade?? PVL will let them know

Yeah I was asking how it would potentially impact the Bears if a National Reserve grade was implemented.

I'd imagine the local pathway over here would need a lot of work put into it to re-establish it after Covid but perhaps two SG Ball sides would be the go?

    Definitely an interesting question though.
