School System Doing it for the Brumbies

The Safeguard Global ACT Brumbies have announced their extended squad to contest the Super Rugby U16s competition which kicks off next month.

The competition, administrated by Rugby Australia, will feature the Melbourne Rebels, Western Force, NSW Waratahs, Queensland Reds, as well as the ACT Brumbies. With the draw set to be announced next Monday, August 26 at 10:00AM AEST.

ACT Brumbies Head of Junior Academy and Talent ID Andrew Clark has been happy with the region's talent who have been in training with the Brumbies Academy these last few months.

“It is a very exciting time of the year where a lot of our juniors look towards testing themselves against their interstate counterparts."

“Competitions like this are great in strengthening our junior pathways system and exposing players to high level competition," said Clark.

The 2024 ACT Brumbies U16s Squad will be finalised in the lead up to the competition kicking off. With the 2024 ACT Brumbies U19s Extended Squad set be announced in the coming weeks.
