noticed tickets can be had for $35 now. Still not sure it's worth it with the rain.

Suspect Optus is going to be fairly empty on Saturday.

Western Force duo Nic White and Carlo Tizzano will both start in Saturday’s Flight Centre Rugby Championship Test between the Wallabies and Springboks at Perth’s Optus Stadium.

Tizzano’s starting berth, coming seven days after his Wallabies debut, sees the WA product achieve a childhood dream and play in front of a home crowd at international level.

The 24-year-old back-rower came through the RugbyWA Academy system, playing club rugby for Fortescue Premier Grade outfit University, having attended Hale School and Trinity College.

White will make his first start of the squad’s 2024 campaign, combining with Noah Lolesio in the halves for the seventh time at international level.

Nathan Sharpe medallist Ben Donaldson is among the reserves, while Force skipper Jeremy Williams is unavailable due to concussion.

Wallabies coach Joe Schmidt said: “There’s some continuity and freshness in this team after a very physical test last weekend.

“The players have rolled up their sleeves and worked hard again this week. The reality is that we need to be more combative and accurate this Saturday.”

Watch all the action on Stan Sport with every Wallabies Test streaming ad-free, live and on demand with Wallabies at home in 4K UHD. Wallabies matches will also be shown live on the Nine Network via 9Go in Perth this Saturday.

Tickets are selling fast via Ticketmaster. Purchase yours here.

    Potentially Lolesio's last start.
Good to see Uru given a shot and time for Jorgensen to show what all the hype has been about.

Very pleased to see Carlo starting again, with Reimer out the 23 hopefully he has moved above in the eyes of the coach.

Very happy that Donno will get another shot off the bench and needs to make the most of the minutes when on.

i would have liked to see white and donno start together for the continuity. Unfortunately i reckon he will get 10 mins at the end when it is all over, and will combine with McDermott.

Onya Carlos, the attack last week was stifled, but you nailed the defensive efforts. I think next year he will be a bigger body and as such will be better suited to international rugby as a seven. same with Williams, they just need a bit more bulk. And reading the post aboud jake white, it seems that this is a result of the loss of development pathways which would give people in the amateur space the resources, knowledge and support required to get their bodies into shape before throwing them to the boks.

I was actually thinking tate was the best pairing for Donno, despite the continuity argument. Their game complement each other better and lolesio needs somebody with good field vision who can tell him what to do.Donno really needs to recover from his ordinary performance against Georgia which was, I'm pretty sure, the reason why lolesio has been preferred so far despite not really doing anything of value.Carlo has hopefully learned not to run straight into jaapie shoulders since last week.

Tate's delivery isn't great, which hinders the 10's ability to create opportunities, especially against a rush defence, when they have to stretch or stop to gather the ball first. I hope we get to see the White, Donaldson, Stewart combination given a crack to really show what Donaldson can do and unleash the wallabies backline.
Paisami seems to rarely pass, which means our best back in Ikitau doesn't see nearly enough ball.

Wasn't many tickets left when I bought mine 2/3 weeks back so I assume they'll mostly be up the back of level 5.

Guess that depends how tragic it gets with Lolesio...

Tate's more likely to, and probably more effective sniping from the base of the ruck, whihc will give Donno more time, Donno is a better kicker and game controller than Lolly, so White's game vision and kicking are better paired with Lolly. Donno can call for the ball when it's needed. As long as Tate listens to him Donno can control the attack off quick ball which gives him time and space. Something that Lolly won't do with White's slower service. Under the first pair, I predict a lot of box kicking and Lolesio shovelling the ball to Paisami, who'll engage the defense before trying to pass the pressure onto Ikitau who will make the most of it, but get caught behind the ad line 1/2 the time.

White and Donno might get a few minutes together in the transition to the new halves pairing, we'll need to compare off that.

It's interesting around mindset forming of the opposition.
At this level all teams would go into matches with a strong understanding of the oppositions strengths and weaknesses.
Less so the lower through the divisions you go.
The Boks would know what to expect from each of the combinations.
The flipside is often seeing for example #9-10 doing pass-box-kick-pass-box-kick etc ad nauseum with the defence getting ever flatter and then throw in a "surprise" like McDermott taking a run.
I would be more in favour of the "surprise" happening very early (second or third restart/ruck of the match), even if never repeated that match, to keep a "shit, what are they up to!" in the minds of the defensive line.
It seems too often it's all too predictable and that creativity comes in too late.
