2025 Squad - Speculation Thread

I know I've mentioned him before, but another boost for Finn Prass playing for Brothers today.
The Force need to upgrade him from Academy to a multi year contract and lock him in before he gets offers further afield.

If looking for a replay to watch I'd recommend it, not just for Prass interest but for the brand of Rugby Brothers are playing.
Absolutely smoked 7th placed Sunnybank in the first 30, then kept the foot on the throat for most of the remaining minutes.
Was really enjoyable open running Rugby and passing skills, with injections of power scrummaging for the purists.

Can’t see that Tupou is needed by us or any other SR team unless RA are prepared to pay his salary.
He can’t play much more than 40 mins.
His scrummaging is ok but not great.
His pick nd drive is okish.
He goes to ground in most tackles made on him and doesn’t get any hand offs.
He’s ineffectual in most defensive mauls.
If the Force or any SR team hires him I’ll be surprised if they feel the benefit. He will be better off heading of to Europe and getting some good fitness and conditioning. Then possibly like Skeleton he will become a player worth having.
Apologies to Tim Horan etc but I disagree and don’t wish to join your cult.

Great signing for the front row in Harry, still recovering from his Achilles tendon injury so will miss the spring tour but sounds like he'll be back early in the new year - trial games perhaps.

The one issue I have with HJH is: 90+ Super Rugby caps, 1 Wallaby cap, whilst playing for the Tahs.

However, if it turns out that we signed him to free up a spot to allow the Tahs to sign Tupou, I'll laugh all the way to the bank!

He strikes me as a solid team player. He's effective in attack in that zone close to the line and seems to be able to get under the defence. It's handy that he can play both sides, too.

I am much happier about the Force signing HJH than Tupou. Taniela is a big unit with a lot of unutilised/ realised capability, IMHO, but not much use if he's on the bench or injured.

Speculation on G&GR that Reds Mac Grealy may be coming to the Force. Considering their recent signings of outside backs wouldn't be surprised.

Force have announced Kalapu was leaving so he can be removed.
I am also interested in status of Koteka as he was contracted for 2025 or did his contract get torn up?
