Boundaries for Bushfires!
A T20 cricket match of a different kind will take place at the WACA Ground on Friday 7 February when sporting codes and media outlets unite to raise funds for a variety of Bushfire Appeal Funds.
Players from across the WACA, West Coast Eagles, Fremantle Dockers, West Coast Fever, Western Force (HODGO AND IAN PRIOR!!) and other sporting clubs will join some of Perth's biggest names in a special T20 cricket match.
100% of net proceeds from ticketing, catering, sponsorship and all other donations for this match will go to the State's bushfire appeal which will raise vital funds for people directly affected by bushfires in Victoria and New South Wales.
Please come along if you can! Tix through Ticketmaster.

Got my tickets!
Hodgo's not a player!
A deadset legend, but not a player
Well then, I want my money back!!!
I hope they're not selling tickets to the members stand to the general riff raff!![]()
I think it would set a wonderful example of Christian charity if the WACA just sold the ground to developers and donated the entire proceeds to the Salvation Army for bushfire victim relief.
It would be a a far more sincere act than Twiggy's faux donation to his own climate change deniers' foundation to promote unicorns such as non existent arsonists and selling bushland to the likes of himself, because you know, the leaf accumulation bad, bad.
thank goodness you haven't lost your cynicism,I was worried for a while-silly me
Once a lawyer always a w.....!
May the FORCE be with you!
These comments by Andrew Forrest in the SMH seem a little strange coming from the chairman of a "climate change denier's foundation"
"Climate change is real. The scale and severity of these bushfires are clear examples of how climate change is intensifying natural disasters. Climate change is presenting us with a huge new challenge, and as these bushfires have demonstrated, we are not yet equipped to handle it........I am championing the transition to a zero-carbon footprint in my businesses, including Fortescue Metals Group, where we are spending hundreds of millions of dollars to transition from diesel and oil to solar and hydrogen."

Wonder how they are going to make GRR a zero carbon business with all the air travel. Plant some trees perhaps.

"Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain’t all sunshine and rainbows. It’s a very mean and nasty place and I don’t care how tough you are it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain’t about how hard ya hit. It’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That’s how winning is done! Now if you know what you’re worth then go out and get what you’re worth. But ya gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain’t where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody! Cowards do that and that ain’t you! You’re better than that!" - Rocky Balboa
Not to my knowledge, but I don't watch FTA much anymore.
