Campo has gone postal on players voice after not getting short listed for the Tahs job.

He may come across as a proper bell-end, and might well be, but I suspect what probably knocked him out of the running was an expectation that players earn their spots rather than get them based on what they earn...

I heard an interview he did shortly after he arrived back in Aus a cew years ago and he offered assistance to RA/ Wallabies. Ended up being knocked back by Cheika etc-they didn’t want to know about him. Guess he didn’t run in the same matey circles of Cheika & co.
Campo has been left out of dressing room for years apart from outspoken media articles there were issues involving his management company and Gregan. The SMH mounted a big campaign to get the far inferior Whitaker in as starting half back ahead of Gregan. Larkham wouldn’t have a bar of it.
Whitaker ended up at Cheika’s Leinster side.

Politics, power, ego and money. All the things that have destroyed the game in Australia. And (dare I say it) all perpetrated by men.
I know people here have little time for Raelene Castle. But I can tell you all that she displays none of those traits and if only people took the time, they would come to respect her as highly as I have come to respect her.
Now is time for a female Chair of Rugby Australia.
This is not me being anti-men in any way at all. I just believe that women often make better leaders.
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
Interesting comment to make when the board has the highest representation of women in its history Ali.
C'mon the
Which board? The RA board? It still has a male Chair. The Chair calls all the shots. The thrust of my post was that I believe different decisions would have been made (and would be made in the future) if it was a woman who called all the shots. I was also responding to the post above mine, which was commenting on a situation involving men.
This is based on my observations of many women in top leader roles in many areas, not just sport.

Castle is as bad as uncle Cam when it comes to wasting money. She hasn’t learnt from the Bulldogs back ended contracts and signed Tupou on one this week. Cheika has had Carte Blanche since she took over from Pulver and burnt a power of money. Due to a lack of domestic tests this year the RA were always going to lose money yet they went out and budgeted expenditure on the now failed World League. Last year’s annual reported included money they haven’t even received so it was a false profit. The Folau case has cost them a power of money already and they have up to December to settle. Due to donations it won’t cost Folau anything but it will cost the RA big time. All due to Alan Joyce and uncle Cam getting offended.
Broderick, Sherry and Marlow have blood on their hands from the Super Rugby axing fiasco. Uncle Cam bangs on about losing sponsors and reputations he lost three in one week due to the axing fiasco which he instigated. He has never had a good reputation so he has gone out and ruined Robinson and Pulvers.
We have had one female PM in this country and she was terrible. Kirner and Lawrence were awful Premiers and left their respective states with massive debts.

I firmly believe that the Board was misled in 2017 by what I refer to as the Gang of Four.
Cheika was contracted before Raelene came on board. We have no idea what that contract says.
The policy of ‘back-ended contracts’ would be a Chair/Board-sanctioned one, not one that the CEO alone could implement.
As for JG, she was brought down by men who were not ready for a woman to occupy the position of PM.
