Quade would be a good marquee for one of the Asian IPRC sides; hell, even one of the pacific ones.
Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!
Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
I for one thought Quade played really well in the Baabaas game, & I’ve been a Quade critic for a while, ever since he said the ARU/Wallabies was a toxic environment. How on the mark he was then!
Perhaps given Brad Thorn's playing style, he wouldn't have a clue as to what to do with someone like QC. He's most certainly a game changer that only McKenzie could tame ... is that his fault or the coaches ... ?

The thing with Thorn due to it being his first fully pro head coach job no one knows how he is going to get his team playing the game. The squad has a lot of inexperienced players topped up with players right at the end of their careers. You really have to see the team train and then play together to see what type of Rugby you want rather than say right out we are going to play in hand to suit Michael Cheika's philosophy.
To impart a style of play like Ackermann and Pat Lam (at Connacht) it takes a good couple of years to results and requires a lot of skills work to implement. Both coaches used the Canterbury 4-2-4 forward pod system. You also need a ball in hand flyhalf like Cooper for it to work as it involves a lot of passing and running. Due to their attendances and finances the Reds don't have two years pull that type of play off.
Cooper showed under Link that he could play under varying tactics to suit different opposition and was capable of playing field position with the boot when required.

Wrong way around 2-4-2 sorry. They did basically have extra forwards when Justin Marshall and co played for them.
The forwards placed out wide run in support with the backs so they can clean out, carry, support the ball carrier. Enables them to attack straight.
I will dig up Nick Mallett's video on this as explains it well.
