“We respect the RugbyWA Board’s position but it is important to set the record straight that today’s decision by the RugbyWA Board to place the organisation into receivership is not the result of any action by Rugby Australia," he said
"Our view is that we were still in a negotiation to settle on costs awarded to Rugby Australia by the NSW Supreme Court.
“Our focus is on pursuing the high net-worth individuals that made commitments to RugbyWA to fund their legal battle and we are continuing to seek only a portion of the total costs."

Am I reading this correctly? Are they targeting Twiggy??? I just...umm...I can't...
I sent this to Puller this morning. Maybe he will respond after his junket to London.
“Just when I thought you and your cabal could not stoop any lower in destroying the game that I and thousands of others have devoted our lives to, I read that you have forced RugbyWA into administration.
Your vindictiveness knows no bounds does it?
After shovelling many $millions of our money into the pockets of Cox and the Melbourne Rebels, you push RugbyWA into VA for a measly $800K. Roughly the cost of your & your cabal’s current junket to London I imagine.
I have never in all my life come across a group of people as immoral, nasty and despicable as you, Clyne, Clarke, Eales, Robinson and the rest of the board.
I truly hope that hell has reserved a very special for you all. You’ve sure earned it.”
Proudly Western Australian; Proudly supporting Western Australian rugby
I not au fait with how sport governing bodies work, but does this mean that our local clubs will have to form their own association and start a competition of their own?
Japan and the Pacific Islands for Aussie Super 9's!
Let's have one of these in WA! Click this link: Saitama Super Arena - New Perth Stadium?
Moving along. I see that Josephine Barker has appeared on the Roar. Time to go after her after what she said on the RA website

You bet your cotton socks they are. They've been eyeing off ways to get hold of as much of the $50 mill as they can since they told him to shove it, but the agreement he made was with RugbyWA, not rats Arse, so if RugbyWA would prefer to enter administration rather than ask twiggy for the dough rats arse can't do anything about it. It proves again that RugbyWA are probably a little too honest to get anywhere in this fight, because they won't eat their children to win it. I don't mind that, we need decent people at the wheel.
C'mon the

Does Tom Decent have any ideas of his own? I have never seen him express his own thoughts in an article

Don't worry Tom the RA have already done that. There are fears RugbyWA's debts will force it to retrench staff, including development officers.

"Rugby Australia confirmed on Friday evening it has been pursuing RugbyWA for legal costs totalling $.17 million.*"
I think Tom Decent has problems where he puts his decimal point
He is right. That's what should be owed.

Soooo.....they are happy to print lies about the VA, but still not a peep about the senate enquiry, you know the one that recommended that ASIC investigate the financials of both RatsArse and Rebels
The long sobs of autumn's violins wound my heart with a monotonous languor
I say Reynolds is correct in that they have lawyered up over that. She mentioned that in her interview with Oliver Petersen

Great to see we need to pay for the ERU's lawyers for their disputes with the rebels and for the senate inquiry where if they had nothing to hide they certainly did not need lawyers.
Pulver: ‘We’re not responsible’ for Rugby WA’s fight
Rugby Australia (RA) has rejected claims it was responsible for RugbyWA entering voluntary administration as the bitter fallout from the Western Force’s axing continued.
RA is chasing the state body for costs over the failed legal fight — arbitration and in the NSW Supreme Court — to save the Super Rugby club.
RA initially chased Rugby WA (RWA) for about $1 million. It reduced the claim to $500,000 cash but also wanted RWA to help recover $300,000 sponsorship from the State Government’s Road Safety sponsorship deal with the Force.
RWA, funded by billionaire miner Andrew Forrest and seven other business people known as the WA8, offered $350,000.
Negotiations broke down and advisory and investment firm KordaMentha Restructuring was called in.
RWA owes $1.14 million to the WA government for the 2009 upgrade of nib Stadium as well as an unspecified amount to law firm Lavan. They also have a long term lease of Rugby headquarters with VenuesWest of $360,000 a year.
RugbyWA chairman Tony Howarth said RA knew that RWA was not in a position to pay the legal costs.
“They are very aware of what they are doing,” Howarth said. “In our mind they have been quite purposeful in what they are doing. They are certainly very purposeful in removing the Western Force.
“Some feel it has been an abandonment of rugby in WA.”
Howarth said RA chief executive Bill Pulver was aware RWA could move to administration.
On Friday night RA said it would continue negotiations.
It claims legal costs are approximately $1.7 million and told RWA several times it was prepared to settle for less than one-third of that amount.
However the $1.7 million has been disputed by RWA insiders who claimed only $700,000 was incurred by RA in the legal fight over the Force.
They say the other costs come from actions involving Melbourne Rebels and the senate inquiry.
RA chief executive Bill Pulver said they respected RWA’s position.
“But today’s decision by the RugbyWA Board to place the organisation into receivership is not the result of any action by Rugby Australia,” he said.
“Our view is that we were still in a negotiation to settle on costs awarded to Rugby Australia by the NSW Supreme Court.
“Our focus is on pursuing the high net-worth individuals that made commitments to RugbyWA to fund their legal battle and we are continuing to seek only a portion of the total costs.”
The RWA sources said the high profile businessmen had only agreed to back the initial action in the WA Supreme Court that was settled in RugbyWA’s favour.
Pulver said he specifically rejected a RWA proposal to have their community funding reduced to offset some of this cost.
“In fact (we) plan on increasing its community funding,” he said. “Ultimately, this is $1.7 million of cost to the game and this legal cost cannot come at the expense of the community game.”
Meanwhile the State Solicitors Office is still investigating deals struck with RA over the redevelopment of nib Stadium and the building of the Rugby HQ.
“The State Solicitor’s Office is continuing to consider all legal options for the periods where we have a contract with the ARU,” Sports Minister Mick Murray said.
